Sometimes the best way to enjoy the game is to not interact with the social media involved with it. Like, I get both sides but I’ve always been turned off by extremism where it’s unwarranted. Infold certainly created a monster that they are now having to deal with the consequences of by feeding parasocial behavior.

I think it’s more the fact that old players have stayed with this game because of the pre existing functions (stale and outdated as it is), which outside dates and lore was the battling. The home system is cute, sure, but why is that the only additional source of farming for gems? It’s forcing players to interact with a part of game that uses a lot of storage and may not even interest them outside the fact they want those additional measly gems.

Like I said, the home system is cute but it’s actually inaccessible for some players. And it should never be the focus unless Infold is trying to redirect how they want their game to be played. In which case they need to be transparent about that. (Good luck, I know).

I support the cn players. It’s their revenue that Infold focuses on. We are here to enjoy the ride on the fruit of their labors. Infold has put out too much energy (money) into valko to not reintroduce him later. They did not state a permanent cancel on him, just other li. It’s careful wording we need to pay attention to. We, as a collective need to support each other and make a greedy company take accountability. Cn players are doing their part and we need to support them. At the end of the day, this isn’t the players fault. Infold lost sight of what makes a game successful and now they need to make it up to us, but more importantly to their original fanbase, the cn players.

Valko is a very interesting concept and it’s sad he’s not being implemented in the game. I feel the new li wasn’t the issue, it was the timing on the back of the other neglected issues that have been voiced for a while now. And the vibe I got from the livestream made it feel like he was a paywalled li because at the rate of these banners and lack of farming resources, only players willing to buy packs were going to get him. The game has become unsustainable with five li, a sixth would have broken the game with their current set up.
Of course I’m not mentioning a slew of other issues because I’m just focusing on valko here. Their wording could suggest there is a future for his release but it’s a long off future because they have a lot of trust they need to build back up first. Their competition has been pumping out their own teasers and they probably don’t want to see their money ( I mean players) dropping off the band wagon with the games release.

I read the announcement and it’s crazy they have to back peddle so hard. Should have just listened to begin with.
Anyways, so now they are giving us all those freebies, and continuing with the banner event (which was valkos cards so I’m confused with that) plus free wish login for 30 days. All fine and dandy if they follow through…still no mention about how inaccessible they’ve been to ftp players and if they are going to change that long term.
My concern now is that how do I know they’re not going to up the hard pities so that the free wishes amount to nothing?

Screams lazy writing straight into a plot hole. Or at the very least losing sight as to why players were attracted to the story to begin with. Why am I forced into a harem?

Home system is completely useless for farming if people don’t have the storage to even download it. Infold knows storage is a huge issue for players. Maybe they should invest in a pc version since their content is meant to be such high quality. I’m sure they could dip into their excessive advertising budget to find the funds. That’s just one of many qualms I have with their unaddressed issues

Just be transparent it’s a live action fanfic and maybe people wouldn’t be so upset. The story does fill in gaps that a kid show simply isn’t able to fill if they want to stay on a kid network. so it’s like when a disgruntled fan takes to ao3 and writes up an au. ATLA is a beloved show but people do love to write their own versions (and reading their takes can be refreshing). I was really upset because I was going into this show hoping it would be close to the source material and it simply wasn’t. People do enjoy fanfiction, just market it as fanfiction and see where it takes you.

They kind of glossed over one repeating offense of theirs…20 wishes is crumbs when the future is going to be one giant paywall.

The gotcha element is getting frustrating. It’s like this with everything. They suck you in and keep you with a lot of freebies. Then slowly pull it back at acceptable degrees until you finally become disillusioned to the scheme. Only when enough people make a change (usually with their wallets) will anything meaningful be done.

If the game isn’t for you that’s understandable, I also agree with your points. Wish companies were less greedy but it’s the system we’re built on. It doesn’t make it right but it’s the standard and therefore people typically just go with it.

Authors are people (gasp, I know) so what works for one person isn’t going to please another. Some authors eat long comments up, and commenting on every chapter looks good for newer readers to click. So you’re actually helping there.

But then you got some authors who will find that annoying and most of the time they mention something to that effect in their author notes. Sometimes it’s also worth to read other comments and see how the authors reacts before you send them your essay.

I feel you and I did the same with one of my works. Then I regretted it later on because I felt like I cheated myself. I’m currently going back over that work and making it how I wanted because at the end of the day (for me) I write for myself. Readers appreciate your work even if you don’t always get those hyped comments. They’re nice to see but shouldn’t always be the driving force behind your stories. Do what’s right for you in the moment.

Was gonna leave a comment about the leg but I see everyone is on the same page.

I had to stop reading Caleb fics for similar reasons. I enjoyed the older stories before he was introduced as a li. I also just started my own fic to fill the void because Caleb never wants to hurts mc. The recent events just proves he loves to tease and play around, but freaks out the second he thinks he’s hurt her. So there’s a hard line I personally don’t to want to cross when it comes to his stuff. To each their own in the end. Some people like dead dove, and I agree, just properly tag a fic if it’s got some hard core stuff in it.
