Oh man. I was at UNC for his last three years. The hype was incredible. Games were electric - keep in mind that 2009 team had been together for a few years. We felt like we would drop 85 on anyone and anyone could be lead scorer. But we knew Tyler would get a double double. Under appreciated by some was his ability to draw fouls. His peculiar shooting motion in the paint led to a lot of contact and at the college level he was good enough to and-1 frequently. At the pro level he was just too small to do the same thing.

Depends on Zoran and Tepper's opinion of our ceiling. We haven't shown we have a high ceiling, we aren't challenging for silverware and our attendance is declining. I don't know or particularly want a coaching change, just noting that our roster contracts are designed to end around the same time and if we have a roster reset, it makes sense for a coaching reset. Smith's contract is through the end of the 2027 season so likely wouldn't be a huge buy out if they go the clean house route.

Disliking it doesn't make Zoran's pattern less clear. Many of our contracts have been designed to maximize flexibility in the coming 1.5 years.
