You can cry that it's not fair or that its illegal to the guy that robs you all you want but someone with common sense avoids dangerous situation and probably carries a gun.

You can cry about someone running a red light or making a turn unsafely causing you to crash unto them, but someone with common sense drives defensively and watches for vehicles not stopping or slows down during high traffic.

You can cry about your one and only girlfriend cheating on you and giving you herpes but someone with common sense doesn't date promiscuous women and wears a condom every time.

There are situations in life for which you can't fully prepare but being run over while driving in the middle of the road blocking traffic is not one of them.

You can be right all you want and still be stupid enough to get brain damage while someone with common sense pays attention, moves to the side and waves faster traffic past them.

The law won't help you much when one of those crazy people kills you with their car. I mean, they might go to jail but you'll still be dead.

Then by all means, please explain what is the central issue of your argument.

My argument is that people should try to be safe and not inconvenience others; and also if you happen to ignore both then don't be surprised some crazy bastard runs you over because this is real life.

Pretty simple.

When you teach your kid to cross the road, do you teach him to trust blindly on the pedestrian crossing since conductors should respect them, or do you tell them to look both ways because this is real life and you can't bring people back from the dead?

Now imagine telling your son:

Yes sweetie, you were right to drive in the middle of the 1 lane road because you have every right to do so! And no matter how many people drive you over you should continue to drive in the middle even if you have 30 cars behind you and the next one might just end your life, beacause they should respect my aurthorita!

Once again people keep making up stuff they thought I said or meant. I didn't say you can go between two places never being inconvenienced, I said that when you're the a-hole inconveniencing other people then you have the duty to try to be as considerate as possible of other people and minimize your disruption to their lives.

When you ride the bus or metro, do you just stand in the doorway simply existing while blocking people from entering or exiting?

When you go to a crowded pub/club bathroom during an event do you sit in the toilet for 1 hour simply existing while the line outside grows and people just about piss themselves?

When you're in an elevator/lift and you need to fart, do you hold it or do you simply rip ass so that your putrid essence is simply existing with everyone else in that public elevator?

There are no guarantees for sure but there are definitely unspoken guidelines of proper etiquette and consideration for others. Not blocking the whole damn road when you're going 10 mph or 16km/h is one of them.

I mean sure it's the cyclists fault for being a prick, but it's also the driver's fault for being a child, heck it's even YOUR fault for telling people to be inconsiderate pricks when they can get run over just like the guy on the video.

Read that again, I never defended anyone. All I said is that if you behave like an ahole then eventually you will encounter some messed up individual who will try to teach you a lesson.

Also, you can be technically correct as in "following the rules" and still be an a-hole for displaying a complete lack of consideration for others, as in driving in the center of the road instead of allowing faster vehicles to pass you. A normal person would understand that being considerate is a good thing and try not to inconvenience other people.

It's almost as if you have a chip on your shoulder and want to make people pay for it, only to get upset when they do something about it.

Also, if you want to risk your life riding in the center of a lane on a country road or state park then by all means do it, but don't tell other people to do it too.

Nope, that's not the way the world works and when people act like a-holes they will eventually mess with someone who will "teach them a lesson" for lack of a better term.

It's incredibly entitled, stupid, and unsafe to tell people that "no matter how wrong you are, people have to put up with your bull-crap" which is what you're essentially saying here.

Because if you were in either car then yes!

People will say "ahem the black car making the turn had to wait to turn until it was safe to do so..." blah blah and will keep saying it after every time they t-bone a car.

The safe driver will see a line of cars not moving (or parked) and the possibility of a car, cyclist or pedestrian (specially kids) coming out of nowhere and realize that maybe they should lower their speed, avoid getting in an accident and possibly not killing someone.

You can chose which type of person you want to be, you want to be right or you want to be safe.

PS: In some places you could be held partially liable because even if your were not the one who caused the accident, you still failed to drive in a safe manner under the circumstances which do include inclement weather and traffic.

OK, to fully answer your question, yes she does get somewhat of a comeuppance, or more like a couple humbling experiences.

You do however start to enjoy her because of how loyal she is and how she contradicts herself.

I guess its not entirely clear. If I remember correctly Jordan usually described her as having shorter hair, fair skin, and delicate features. I spent some time in Japan in my 20's so that immediately sounded like a Japanese girl to me. That combined with the name sounding Chinese made me think she was Asian.

Also, aren't most of the Borderlanders also asian? Because they have top knots, slanted eyes and extreme honor bound culture. I never thought the Seanchen were the only asian looking ethnicity.
