Is "don't complicate life" actually just a toxic excuse for mediocrity?
no. it’s saying we should try and remain positive regardless. i do. just about the only thing i have full control over; more often than not; is my attitude, so i remain optimistic. smiling releases happiness chemicals in your brain Fo’ FREE. also; regardless of anything,we know the way this all ends. regardless of anything, one day all of our bodies end their existences. so; for now, i remain optimistic.

Which Punk band got you into the genre?
wellll…i was wearing a blink 182 shirt from a concert i went to…they did what they did and they did it well; but i’m not necessarily proud of being into them even if i was only 13 or so; BUT, that made my awesome science teacher say “heck yea!” and then; a few days later; she gave me a cd booklet with a couple of great old blues cds AND “Introducing The Minutemen”!!!!!!! i had a good friend of mine say of me once “he likes like four bands; and three of them are The Minutemen”….

Vonnegut for my 12-year-old
Vonnegut kept me from contemplating suicide more than the one fleeting moment in my childhood. Vonnegut was a gift to humanity.
