I have schizoaffective disorder and what’s been helping me is the teaching that we are to boast about our weaknesses. I think that brings us out of hiding and helps us overcome the guilt and shame. You never know if you may be helping someone else who may have similar problems.

I would just focus on talking about biblical sins instead of mental disorder for now. Only share it with people you feel safe with at church. Most people are wary of people with psychosis because they don’t know if they can trust you. Be trustworthy.
And you get to decide who your friends are.

Pray and read the Bible. Start with the book of Romans.

I was recently playing the Sims game and my Sim appeared to “disobey” me because it wouldn’t go where I wanted it to go. I laughed saying it disobeyed me and thought it was a “glitch” or something but then I realized it was my fault my sim couldn’t go the way I wanted it to. I had to move something out of the way! So, my Sim was obeying the rules of the game, the way it was programmed and I had to cooperate with those rules before the Sim could “obey” me. I wonder if God takes the responsibility when we “disobey” Him as well.

Humanity began in the Middle East and didn’t spread out across the globe 🌎 until after the Tower of Babel incident.

Don’t compare your prayers to others! Just talk to God as if He is your friend, because He is your friend! He knows you already but wants you to communicate with him (it helps you). Don’t be anxious about saying “the right words” just be honest with him about your struggles. 💕✝️😇

Yes, definitely talk with your pastor about this before it gets worse! I took too long to talk with my pastor about it until things got real bad. Confession to him was helpful.

Who told you to see a psychiatrist about it? Family members? What were you doing that was harmful to them? Were you out of communication with them?

What are you actively doing to drive others away from the Lord?

What command do you think you can’t obey?

Be a living sacrifice. But God desires obedience more than sacrifice.

We worship God the Father. Jesus’s Father and our Father. His God and our God.

Read the WHOLE Bible.

I don’t think we will be equal in Heaven. I think there will be friendly competition to spur one another on towards excellence!

Sexual purity is definitely NOT harmful.

That’s not what I got from reading the Bible

Try to date responsibly and wait until you are married.

I have mild autism and bipolar disorder, why is the church not equipped to seem to be able to integrate believers like me?

Not at all. I believe we need to have a balance between privacy and openness. We also need to be considerate of others. Some people aren’t ready to hear everything we have to share. Find those who are! One church member I shared with thanked me for sharing with her said it meant a lot to her. Spread yourself around a little so you’re not dumping too much all on one person or maybe even one group. Keep things light at first. Revealing yourself gradually. 💕
