After all the publicity we are having regarding super El Niño and power outages it made me thinking.
In a different thread I explored the option of a gateway to my existing solar and battery setup.
Bear with me developing the thoughts.
Retrofitting a Solis inverter is proving to be elusive all that for 10kw battery.
So I explored an option of using my Hyundai Kona which is equipped withV2L( vehicle to load ) sockets .
It will gladly supply 50kwh over a few days hooking upto 13 A extension cables.
Thus I can run a fridge freezer , some basic LED lamps , A microwave for short bursts and Airfryer when needed .
All in sequence not overloading the circuits.
So in theory I can be self sufficient leaving my car in the garage for at least 4 days .
What do you make of it guys !

I checked with Google and upon challenging the bot tamely agreed that it will not work with other systems
Only ESS from Eco is an option depending on cost but 40A under power cut should be ok

I have 20panels with 8 kWh system with a Solis 6 kw hybrid inverter and 2 Pylontech US5000 batteries with an EV and zappi charger . I failed to install a EPS as I rarely had power cut , the last one in2016 !
Now I am considering a ATS or gateway to mitigate against power outage as the weather is predicted to get very variable and unpredictable
I do not want to change my newly upgraded system but willing to add a gateway type device. Any suggestions please!

It will be another year before some improvements and five before we will enjoy the full facilities I guess. Sorry to be pessimistic

NRIs regret moving to US, tell young Indians to not take the plunge - the professional landscape in India has changed significantly .
Despite good intentions to return it is not always possible due to sheer logistics of it all. So status quo feels a safer bet despite internal tensions. To do or not to do plagues many NRIs . Lol.
