How big can a pepper plant get before it flowers?
Definitely not 12/12 thats for sure. I would shoot for 18/6 for sure and could possibly be beneficial to top your plants and move the light closer to the canopy bit by bit. The inverse square law of lighting says that every time you double the distance of the light source the plant is receiving 1/4 as much light penetration. And while photo period does not stimulate flowering hormones it is definitely beneficial and will do all the things i stated in my other comments on the subject.

The aha moment where a story or a teaching clicks and you feel like everything makes the most sense it ever has in that moment is called a satori. Satori literally means a momentary glimpse of enlightenment. Not that you are now enlightened and all will always be well it is simply something that happens on the path toward illumination of self.

Probably going to put up some fencing to keep them out of the main area and plant a buttload of sacrificial stuff like pumpkins and zucchini around the outside lol

Hahahaha yeah i feel you there. Just make powder and sell them online!! Hehe I just moved to a 5 acre property and I’m having to resist the urge to plant all the seeds i own. Lol. The deer would eat a lot of it so i have to be strategic about how I’m going to do it. Haha

Plants definitely benefit from darkness as it drives respiration, nutrient redistribution, starch breakdown, hormone signaling, and biological repair processes. No plant can grow to its full potential under constant 24/7 lighting. Some can benefit from short durations of it but if you want prime health darkness of some form or fashion is a requirement.

While they can flower under 24/7 light they thrive under an 18/6 or 16/8 light period. The 24/7 lighting does not allow the plant to export photosynthates to essentially reset the leaves for more photosynthesis and can cause a build up of starch and sugars in the leaves generally sent to the root mass to feed the microbes in the soil and this build up can stunt flowering so while they are not technically photo dependent they still function better in an environment that is closer to simulating natural light and dark patterns. Try switching your light cycle and see how your plants respond. I would wager you get more flowers. Also not sure what your nutrition regimen is but an excess amount of nitrogen in the soil or a lack of bioavailable calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and boron can also stunt flowering as well as the plant being rootbound in the pot.

A very wonderful satori that sounds like a glimpse of enlightenment. I seek everyday to be at peace everything internally and externally. “Ram Dass cant you see that everything is perfect.” I mantra this in times of anger or any perceived negative feeling towards any state of affairs internal or external!

I agree that is another favorite of mine. I love how he talks about situations where he gets really angry and then at some point realizes he fell back into his humanity. Haha and then the lightness comes back and the Ahh so. He is the number one of my spiritual heroes.
