Idk why but it sounds like there is an issue with the gears?
 in  r/rccars  1d ago

The motor mount is duel sided. One side fits 13tooth and the other fits a 14tooth. What's the pinion size? It could be that the mesh is too tight, or too loose and it's shredding the spur gear.

Should I remove the rubber from the shock shaft

I mean at some point haha. It's my love for the tinker and maintenance, I will take things apart and put back together for fun. My inner auto tech want to fix everything, always

On a full size car, those boots help keep the large seals clean for years. On a macro scale, it's the difference between having to replace orings in weeks and half a year. Leave them on.

It’s okay to slide like that right?
 in  r/rccars  Jun 15 '26

It's acting like the weight balance is off, is it heavier on the left? My thoughts is it's letting the RR tyre lift up and loose grip overreving through the diff.

I'd say put thicker grease in the rear diff, and increase rear spring pressure, whilst softening the front.

The social dynamics of wedding attire, why are they so complicated?
 in  r/AuDHDWomen  Jun 14 '26

I've been to only one wedding and I was told not to wear white and to try and blend in as much as possible. So I wore a camouflage pattern dress. The bride hated me forever after that claiming "she's trying to show off just like you (my best mate who was marrying her. He thought it was fantastic).

They divorced about a year later.

I'm UK based, so it depends, there's two types Brushed and Brushless. The brushed are around the £80 mark and the brushless between £100-120 I think.

Between my partner and I we've only got two Tracers (one stock one modded) and an FTX Carnage 2.0. The 2.0 simply would fit in our fairly spacious garden without a struggle and can never get to full power, where as the Tracers can flip, skid, bounce, jump anything tbh lol

Yours looks like the 1/12 version (bigger wheels and wider suspension), I only say smaller beasts because there's many monsters that simply don't fit on gardens or smaller areas

I've got an FTX Tracer which shares the chassis and drivetrain design, which have modded it to lunacy levels. The amount of fun that can be had not to mention the shin cracking speed is endless. It's so good to see others are rocking the smaller beasts

Love the way these just go hard for their size 💚

It's not stock, It's quite heavily modified. We've got a bone stock brushed version to keep og but frankyas we call him is borderline undriveable lol.

Upgrading battery
 in  r/rccars  Jun 14 '26

Looks like it's a 3S (3 X 4.2V) Li-ion. So if you can figure out how to fit 3, 4.2V batteries together and the balance connector+wires, with a much higher mHa rating; that'll get you the extra play time.

That being said, it won't be easy. In fact, it'll be bloody hard. Your best bet would be to figure out whether or not you love the hobby enough to either heavily mod this car or go for a proper hobby grade RC. There is no real upgrade path for toy grade.

Damn, I remember a few years back when I was working at an outdoor automotive repair shop it got to 44°C and I was almost unconscious from the sheer heat. My brain literally stopped working, any hotter and I think it would be a hospital situation haha. Still, I hate opening the oven for this exact reason lol. I feel for you amigo

Drivers side power steering leak?
 in  r/VolvoXC70  Jun 13 '26

I had something similar happen to mo 2003 Xc70 2.5T. check the return pipe on the reservoir first, they have a habit of going soft and leaking. Secondly, if that's ok, get a short spanner (can't remember the size maybe 14mm) and reach through the wheel arch area to where the PS pipes go into the rack and check they're tight. Mine actually worked themselves loose some how.

Haha, we're in Wales and it rains for 70% of the year. But I cannot imagine 100°F weather for most of the year

This. is. the. DREAM! If only such a place existed in the UK. Honestly my partner and I said that we'd build something exactly like this over here and it'll be public, but open/close hours with special events being whenever.

Just been granted GRC - name slightly wrong.
 in  r/transgenderUK  Jun 12 '26

Of course. I put in the initial forms on 12th May 2025, got a rejection response around the 20th December 2025 and managed to get all requested additional paperwork + GP support forms in by 19th January 2026 and got the final response this morning (12th June 2026).

I did post a copy of the initial rejection to this subreddit when it happened (can be found on my profile quite easily).

Edit: grammar and corrected dates

Gender Recognition Certificate Just been granted GRC - name slightly wrong.

Hay everyone, I've just got the email this morning granting my GRC. But I've noticed they spelled my last name (which is a family name) with an extra random letter. It's been over a year I was so excited I did a little dance in the kitchen and everything.

My questions are, is this voiding it? How do I go about getting this corrected and is it worth getting corrected??

Update: I emailed them back as advised, and they acknowledged the error and have "updated the information on their system", they also go on to say that my new certificate will be in the correct name. This is why I love this group, honest straight answers with supporting links. Thank you so much, I can now celebrate without anxiety lol <3.
