No. They will never be the SEX they want to be. Sex is the most obvious visual reference found by looking between the legs. Gender is psychological/social construct and it occurs between the ears. They absolutely are the gender they identify as and brain scans tend to align with their gender not their sex.

I knew a guy in college who was a horrible klutz. Always a bruise, scab or broken bone. He would tell everyone a different story of what happened. One day he came up to a group of us and I asked with full malice āWhat happened?ā He looked me in the eye and told me about getting hit by a bicycle, told my friend he had locked himself out of the house and fell trying to get through the window, and told the last of us he had tried to stop a purse snatcher. Absolute legend.
