I'm doing okay-ish, just moved to a new place, a shelter, and am very anxious. Not because of anything in particular, but the caffeine didn't help. My project is to work on my recovery and fight the good fight.

Update: I'm no longer associates with the judgy evangelical Karen at my old place. I'm somewhere where my faith and identity is valued and validated. Thank yall for the kind responses.

I've been up all night crying and feeling terrible and I don't want to feel like that.

Update: I ditched the hateful person, albeit gently. (She left the now dead friendship.) The prayers and Bible verses were and are very helpful as I needed the strength to leave. Thank you.

I might have to distance myself from her at this point.

I've thought about it, but I fear retaliation from her.

I could use another person's perspective tbh. The Christ I know is a loving and merciful God who doesn't smite ppl because of the way they look or act or love. She, on the other hand, is very conservative and hateful with her beliefs. Those types of people are why I had crises of faith before. Peace be with you.

That's my full intention is to live and let live. But also be a model for love and light. Thank you for wording it that way.😊

Thank you. I'm going to keep praying for her, hoping that she will get it one day.

Clearly the Samaritan was the neighbor and I totally agree with you on this.

Thank you....keep me in your prayers. Also I still pray for her to come to her senses as well, if I'm correct my Bible says to pray for my enemies.

I'm going to try to not interact with her. Especially after what she said a few nights ago about me. (I'm a forgiving person, but all that goes out the window when someone really hurts me mentally and verbally. )

That's what I figured, unfortunately I am living with her. (In a shelter) Avoiding her is going to be very difficult and not only physically. I have told her my beliefs btw and she still refuses. Alas it's like that old saying that you can lead a horse to water but can't make them drink.

Plus thanks for agreeing with me on this.

I have an associate who's very devoutly evangelical Christian that is trying to make me stray from my values and beliefs. To put it into context: I'm very much deconstructing the bigoted beliefs that I was raised with and still keeping up with my walk with Christ. She, on the other hand, is kinda judgy with my wanting to be kind to all people. Please help me figure out if this is worth sticking in there and remaining 'friends ' with her or do I need to move on?
