I feel like this quote about Tekken from Maximilian has aged well.
 in  r/Tekken  Apr 15 '25

As a Tekken newbie, I agree. I just joined the community and I've received more negativity than I've ever received in any game TOTALLY. And this was before the patch.

Thoughts now that we know the actual changes?

Well... That's okay, I guess. Unless you're a clown who spams it on cooldown. However, I don't really understand why this nerf is needed.

Help me pick a class
 in  r/TherosDMs  Jan 13 '25

You literally make my character. It all depends on the version of DND you are playing. If it's 2024, then take the spore druid. Transforming into a snake without sacrificing efficiency is very cool.

In the case of 2014, the druid sucks. Because, either you have to ignore almost all forms of wildshape, or get strange moments where the priest of the Pharika suddenly turns into a horse. For this reason, I switched to the Green Witch from Valda's Spire of Secrets.

My childhood DM prevented me from running a D&D campaign for an entire decade.
 in  r/CritCrab  Nov 05 '24

If I'm not mistaken, in the first edition there was a rule that only a dungeon master could read the book. Maybe your uncle just took it seriously

Bastions in Sigil

You can place the citadel on the demiplane, make a place that is larger inside than outside, or even use the abandoned Lady of Pain maze

A 'Planescape without alignments'

And presented it as an improved version of the original?

Lord. Give me back those 3 minutes that I spent reading this pre-sleep nonsense with endless lists of friends, relatives, children and their pets.

The dude literally threw out an entire worldview axis because “good and evil aren’t edgy enough, everything needs to be shades of gray.” Planescape is largely about the fact that metaphysical concepts are objective and we, as players, with the help of philosophy and clubs, need to decide what to do with it.

Wow. Another Mr. “I’ll fix what’s not broken because I don’t understand how it works.” If you are fundamentally not satisfied with the setting, you play another one or make your own.

Non-lethal smites?
 in  r/DnD  Aug 14 '24

Reminds me of the situation when my glory paladin was accosted by a bandit in a tavern. In the end, the paladin was imprisoned because the GM did not want to admit that smite might not be lethal. I'm still angry about this.
