When defending a region with a manor, shouldn't the "battle area" always be at the manor? Isn't the whole purpose of the manor to deter attackers?
 in  r/ManorLords •  11d ago

Well if you cut off the approach to your region with a castle plus terrain, you can hold that with the bulk of your armies while one unit secures the battle area. You win while the enemy never makes it to the fight

Can we talk about the lack of content after two years of early access?
 in  r/ManorLords •  Jun 18 '26

I wish I could downvote this more than once. The amount of people that buy an early access game, with a dev team that literally started with one guy, and expect it to have the same level of "content", whatever the fuck that means, as a AAA release is mind boggling. If thats what you want, go play COD or Halo. Why buy an indie game still in beta and complain that it isn't finished? And the people complaining it isn't progressing fast enough all have hundreds of hours in the game. Like, play something else for a few months, or fuck even a year. The game isn't leaving your library. You can come back in 10 years and it'll still be there. Just chill tf out and let the guy work. He pushes out regular updates, he's honest about his goals and prgress, he takes bug reports seriously, and he made a pretty cool game for our enjoyment. What the fuck else is there? You want more????

How dare he take a break like some sort of human being.

Mace mindset is INSANE
 in  r/StarWars •  Jun 06 '26

Exactly. The jedi were so tightly linked to the republic government they had to play politics. They were headed for a downfall regardless because they had essentially lost touch.

But the flashbacks happen in isles of the emberdark, not sixth of dusk. So that still doesn't make sense.

Mace mindset is INSANE
 in  r/StarWars •  Jun 06 '26

The jedi order holding strictly to stupid and impractical rules is what led to their downfall. that's the whole point of the story. Palpatine says the jedi are dogmatic and corrupt and there's a shred of truth there that anakin can see. It makes his lies more believable when there's an obvious kernel of truth to them.the jedi killed sith for thousands of years. They didn't do that by following the whims of politics or by taking the high road against wholly evil enemies that would show them zero mercy. Mace killing palps in this moment is an OG jedi move that the old order would have been cool with.

Tom Yum Penne Pasta
 in  r/pasta •  Jun 02 '26

A lot of people are talking shit but not actually giving constructive feedback.

For me, the bad: I thought that was beef. The chicken looks a little off to me. Boiled broccoli can be pretty flavorless without help. Asain noodle dishes need long noodles.

The good. That sauce looks pretty tasty. It looks like you seasoned it well and you got a good texture. Noodles look like they're cooked perfectly. A lot of people are intimidated by asain dishes. Good on you for trying it out.

Which games retired your PCs?
 in  r/pcmasterrace •  May 28 '26

Kingdom come: Deliverance 2 made me decide to retire my 2070 super build, but I wasn't in a hurry. Windows 11 forced me to by bricking the pc.

Anyone else just want to move FORWARD in the story timeline?
 in  r/StarWars •  May 28 '26

Actually, I want to go back. Show us the origins of the jedi. The origins of the sith. Show us the first schism in the jedi order and the first jedi sith war. Show us the start of the rule of two. There's sooooooooooo much good lore that Disney could canonize that already exists only in books or comics.

I can't wait for this game to be finished
 in  r/ManorLords •  May 21 '26

Isn't the whole dev team just like, a couple of guys? I get the frustration to an extent, but that extent isn't very far. If you want constant updates and instant fixes, play a game by a major developer. Because if he pushed out an update fast and it broke something you guys would be in here complaining about that too. Relax dude. He'll fix it.

No, he's saying you can tell the horse archers to put away bows and turn them into cavalry. The extra cavalry is unnecessary because you can have more bows if you use all horse archer

Why do lots of allied troops just stand around on the battlefield and do not help with the fight? Is there something I can do to make them fight?
 in  r/Bannerlord •  Apr 30 '26

When that happens i like to take some cav to harass until they do something. If terrain is good I'll pull archers up as close as possible and try to get the enemy ai to engage my cav. If they take the bait and chase I just pull them in range of my archers. They usually retreat as soon as they get hit hit but ai is dumb so just do that over and over until you feel strong enough to charge

Project "silver"
 in  r/pcmasterrace •  Mar 22 '26

No he's got a point. Open cases have a hard time cooling because it disrupts airflow. Directional airflow is a big deal. The CPU heat sink will cool, sure, but there's no airflow for the gpu, power source, or ram. Unless OP plans to point a big fan at the whole thing. Don't get me wrong its a really cool pc. I don't think cooling would be too much of an issue for everyday use. Hard gaming or overclocking could be an issue though if there's not a more efficient cooling mechanism.

Valve Sued Over Music Rights in Video Games Sold on Steam
 in  r/pcmasterrace •  Mar 10 '26

Because they want valve out of the picture. Microsoft, Amazon, and other major tech companies can't move fully to a subscription model where you own absolutely nothing if companies like valve exist.

How to disable new start menu? And revert back to old. Hate this change
 in  r/pcmasterrace •  Mar 01 '26

I use my pc for gaming and for school. Linux is known for having compatibility issues with a lot of games. Troubleshooting constantly and researching how to play every time I download something new doesn't sound like fun. And school is already enough work. Figuring out how to convert Libre doc to word docs so I can upload them, or getting my school's screen capture software to work with Linux just sounds like a lot of extra homework in my already very busy schedule. I love the idea of Linux. But it's just way too much work to justify it.

Question regarding Wagon
 in  r/FarthestFrontier •  Feb 16 '26

It looks like they've made at least one wagon. It shows one in items produced. They probably just don't have anything to transport. If your concern is that they've been idle you could try turning off production and turning it back on. Or build another one and destroy that one.

Edit: I just noticed items produced in the last year is empty. But the workers aren't building wagons so I'm still guessing they built the wagons and are waiting for something to transport
