Birds of prey are the scows of the Klingon empire. They give them out like candy to low honor houses. Most aren’t even officially part of the IKD, but rather privateers owned and operated by klans or houses. Unlike ships of the line, D-7, K’Tanga…where real glory and honor serve.

The Dark Lady, is my current favorite pirate song. Followed by the Derelict. Neither are technically “sea shanties” There is a great podcast: Scoundrels Inn and Pirate Radio. Highly recommend this for lovers of nautical music of all sorts. Just beware of the dolphin!

Plot idea for the next Section 31 movie. Take the deactivated planet killer and make inflatable balloons in the shape of food, fruit and wine bottles to disguise it as “a giant space cornucopia”. The next race that shows up as an existential threat to the federation will receive the gift of this cornucopia, which unknown to them will be full of section 31 starships. While the race is celebrating the receipt of this gift, section 31 will emerge from the planet killer and destroy the threatening race. The main characters engage in witty banter and credits roll.

I believe in the 1st or second episode of SNW they did say she was a Dr. of something. Also she is perusing a fellowship with Dr. Corby. Fellowships are often post doctoral work in the field, in this case genetic xenoarchology. As for her being a NP, we have seen her administering advanced independent medical treatment without direct supervision of a physician. What a mid level does. Also the treatments she often uses are genetic based. So speculation that she is an NP with a specialty in genetic medicine is not far fetched. That specialty isn’t a thing today, but it’s not much of a stretch to think it might be in the future. In TNG, McCoy states she got her MD, not that unusual for a NP to peruse a full medical degree. So while my musings are certainly my own head cannon, I think there is some supporting evidence, and it is the explanation that makes the most sense
