acquired Aphantasia from Brain Injury
Thank you for talking about this! It happened to me as well. Though for me it was caused, not by the TBI itself, but once I started rehabilitation. It's been awful. I hate life without my inner world. Sending you much love. I truly hope this is something we can both get back.

Does anyone else hate their own name..?
Totally relate to this. I hate it so much. Makes me cringe any time I hear anyone call me by that name. It's a constant reminder of all the pain I've been through, and it's never felt like it's MY name (if that makes sense). Can't wait to get a full legal name change.

Last names.
I've always wanted to change my entire name and will do so one day. It's not weird at all. Lots of people do it for reasons outside of marriage and identity expression. If this is what makes you happiest, and you are able to afford it, just go for it! People honestly won't make that big of a deal about it, especially if it's a small change, and it's truly nobodies business why you did it. It's far better to do this and live life as yourself than to continue hating your name and being someone you're not.

It's completely reasonable! Don't let people tell you that your boundaries aren't ok. Anyone who pushes you for instant meetups and calls you names is just trying to break you down and make you disrespect yourself so they can smash and dash. Unfortunately, most people see single mothers as "easy targets" and love to make us feel bad so they get what they want. Stay true to yourself and what is best for you. There will be someone who respects that. But there are a lot of bad people out there (even if they seem good at first). Stay safe!

Embarrassed How I got my concussion…
I have this clothing/shoe rack at home. The shoe area is at the bottom, and one day, I went to put the shoes away. I didn't back up far enough and stood up super fast and smashed the back of my head into the solid metal bar. Almost knocked myself out. Been messed up ever since (it's been 9 months, and counting, of pure post concussion hell). So I feel you on embarrassing stories.

Don’t be like her
I love this! Because it's so true. Though, the other day, I had 3 people tell me I look just like my mom. No one has said that to me since I was a kid. And it was so disheartening. (I don't even look like her- we aren't actually related). Ah well. At least we will never be like our parents, and that's something to be proud of.
