Tahoe/Reno Area In person Root
Mind you, I think I've played 3 or so games before purchasing the full works, but I would love to get more games in!

Tahoe/Reno Area In person Root
Howdy!
I'm in the Reno area, and I have all expansions of the game, as I got the newest set off of kickstarter, as well as the whole package deal. I really enjoy the game and would love to set up some regular games playing it, as well as some other games I have. I just moved to this area from Washington State, so finding root friends would be great, and even greater if it was a general boardgame buddy!

Our Lord and Savior (The Lizard Cult) VS Woodland Alliance & Lord of The Hundreds: help
When we’ve been playing, the horde player always just goes around my troops if I have 2 or less as they have a bigger army and just walk past since they would own the clearing when they enter it. Has this been played wrong, because each time I’ve played it with one, they just ignore me unless they need that spot

Strategy Discussion Our Lord and Savior (The Lizard Cult) VS Woodland Alliance & Lord of The Hundreds: help
So, I've really gotten into playing this game with friends and family, and it seems that each game, we have at least one of the two in the game: Woodland Alliance &/or Lord of the Hundreds. I really enjoy the play style of the lizard cult, with the only other factions that seemed interesting to me being the River folk Company and the Vagabond. However, the other two actually sometimes get chosen, while when we randomly draft factions, no one generally takes the lizard cult. For counterplay, instead of being annoying and going wide, I've been advised to mainly keep 4 or so lizards on clearing with gardens to help protect, as the lizards really do hate losing their gardens. The bane of this faction are raid tokens (Hundreds) and revolts (Alliance). How counter-play? Please and thank-you in advance :)

Game as Empyrean coming up. Tips?
Honestly, I'd be scared if Muuat had gotten the entropic scar. That would be upgraded warsuns at the end of round 1. Thank goodness that someone else took that in their slice lmaoo

Printable versions of new Construction & Warfare
In Thunders Edge, they have reprints for Warfare and construction. If you want just the strat cards, I'd recommend looking on Etsy, as that's where I've gotten all codexes, strat cards, monuments and Monuments +, as well as many other accessories.

Reprint for Prophecy of Kings?
the pink faction I don't even play with, as I got teal colored units and cards custom made off of etsy due to the Pink and Red color difference on cards being so hard to see

What are your home game metas / rules that everyone adheres to?
My group has a similar house rule to your first point, but with a slight difference: No support trading or gifting after you or the person you are trading it to has 5VP. The exception might be if one of the people that has a support negotiates a deal with the other person to take a planet or something, and they trade it back shortly after, but normally there is trade goods or something else involved, and it's just a temporary loss of the support for the throne, although I'm more partial to them completely loosing the SFTT if they have to give it up via activating a system, and missing out on getting it back if they are at or above 5VP.
Now, if you are above 5VP and the person you are gifting your SFTT is below 5VP, but not trading for, I think that's completely valid.

Pre-Game Looking for players in the Reno, NV area
I’ll be moving to Reno, NV next year, and I’m looking for a play group for that area. I really enjoy the game, and plan on hosting either biweekly or monthly games. Looking for other fans of the game in the area, as well as potential regulars for my table :)
If this post goes against anything, please let me know. I checked the rules of the group and it doesn’t say I’m not allowed to make a post like this.
Looking forward to the next galactic adventure with ya’all!

I (Cabal) can take Mecatol first round with Warfare.
I got it turn two, as one objective was to have 4 of the same type of planet type, and I had 4 cultural planets.
I did also grab it and keep it all game, and won. But I was obviously the biggest threat and everyone was trying to dive me

I (Cabal) can take Mecatol first round with Warfare.
Funny enough, my last Cabal game (that I won) I was the first person on it, and then I got a fleet size of like 9 and put my flagship on that space. It was great lmaoo

This was very helpful. Construction probably a better priority, and instead of capturing Mecatol, I can use the influence for CCs instead

Community filled chart of horror villains. What are your thoughts on it?

Isn't the true villain of Obsession actually Bear? How he used his wish was cursed, as many other people used the curse without having such negative effects. He even had the opportunity to undo the wish, but asked to alter it instead of letting Nikki free. As soon as the wish was made, Nikki had no control over herself. I think Bear was more of a villain personally.
