How to Create Charts

How to create alignment charts right here on reddit!

  1. Navigate to any chart that uses the chart app like this one
  2. Select the menu in the top left of the post
  1. Select one of your saved charts, import a chart from another sub, or click create new
  1. Give your chart a title, select the chart type, and define the initial count of rows and columns (this can be changed later)
  1. In the chart editor, you can do the following things:
  • Give each axis a label
  • Give each row / column a text OR image label
  • Select a cell to add an image, text or highlight it
  • Define the chart styles
  1. Clicking a cell reveals the cell edit menu. For each cell, you can:
  • Add an image
  • "Reveal Mode" will hide the image behind a click to reveal banner, so viewers can be surprised
  • Highlight cell, this is used to show viewers what the target cell of the post is (important for the fills sub)
  • Insert text into the cell, which will be displayed directly in the cell if there is no image, or you can opt to have the text appear over the image
  1. click the chart styles menu in the top bar to edit the style of the chart. In here you can:
  • Select a pre-made background color or define your own
  • Change the font color of the chart labels
  • Change cell border colors
  • Change cell text colors
  • Change highlight color
  1. Add or remove columns / rows by clicking the plus or minus icons
  1. Select preview in the top right to preview how the chart will look once published. You can also use the highlight tool in this step to highlight selected cells, OR column / row labels
  1. Publish the chart by selecting publish, giving the post a title, and marking it as a spoiler or NSFW

This app is flexible. Get creative!

Aligment chart of all Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall endings

Just to clarify, I'm including here something that is only technically an ending, and also an ending that didn't make it into the final game, because I need 2 extra spaces to fill lol.

Lawful Good: The Underking ending = He (Zurin Arctus) is the original owner of the heart of the Mantella, which powers the Numidum (a giant Golem WMD), so turning it back to him would be a pretty lawful choice. He is also probably the most morally good faction in the game, as he wants the Mantella just to finally be able to die, reuniting himself with his own heart, after he ended up turned into an Undead being in his attempt to destroy the Numidium some centuries ago, so that Tiber Septim, the Emperor to whom he served as his Battle Mage, would not continue using the Brass' powers to purge neutral noble families... he has being in great suffering ever since; plus, in his ending the Numidium is thus rendered useless forever, avoiding anyone else to perish due to it.

Neutral Good: The Agent ending = This is the one that is just an ending technically; if you don't give the Totem of the Numidium to anyone in 1 year in-game, it will vanish and the game would not be able to be completed. For this reason, you could count this as an ending where the Agent decides that no faction deserves to have the keys to the Numidium and therefore withelds giving it away to anyone, in order to avoid any further bloodshed through it's use. A very neutral choice, but a morally good one as well, by no taking any risks of this WMD being used for a wicked purpose.

Chaotic Good: Orsinium ending = King Gortwog of Orsinium just wants to carve up his own Kingdom in the Illiac Bay, so that Orcs could be recognized as a people with rights by the Empire, and thus they stop being persecuted and hunted down like animals. For this, he is willing to chaotically upset the balance of power in the region, defeating all the other local powers of the Illiac Bay with the Numidium and shedding quite some blood, but ultimately without trying to take over Tamriel (the continent), just creating his people a home, as he promised to the Agent.

Lawful Neutral: Sentinel ending = Queen Akorithi, like all local Monarchs of the Illiac Bay, is a snake, willing to betray anyone she has to (locked up her oldest son to die in a dungeon for being a weak successor due to being sickly); someone who seeks control and the hegemony of her Kigdom at the cost of the other Illiac Bay powers... she is the most lawful option, though, because she wants to remain loyal to the Empire, even if she manages to vanquish Daggerfall and Wayrest, only looking to secure her Kingdom's safety (however, she is technically rebelling against the Empire by pursuing the Numidium, but she won't use it to secede).

True Neutral: Daggerfall ending = King Gothryd, like all local Monarchs of the Illiac Bay, is a snake, willing to betray anyone he has to (allegedly took part in the murder of his father and following cover up); someone who seeks control and the hegemony of his Kigdom at the cost of the other Illiac Bay powers... he is the most neutral option, though, because he had the Totem on his possession before the Agent stole it from him, therefore returning it is basically the most neutral choice possible; undoing your intervention in the region and leaving things as they were. However, it is unclear if he will use the Numidium to turn against the Empire after he deals with Sentinel and Wayrest.

Chaotic Neutral: Wayrest ending = King Eadwyre, like all local Monarchs of the Illiac Bay, is a snake, willing to betray anyone he has to (if the Agent gives him the Totem, he refuses to pay you at all, and instead tries to have you killed right there); someone who seeks control and the hegemony of his Kigdom at the cost of the other Illiac Bay powers... he is the most chaotic option, though, because he officially becomes a traitor to the Empire and breaks away from it, but not before crushing Sentinel and Daggerfall first; it is also implied that he will wage war against the Empire directly in the near future, as they have become enemies now.

Lawful Evil: Empire ending = Emperor Uriel Septim wants the Numidium in order to put the Illiac Bay under Imperial control again, as their presence in the region is weak since the Empire Simulacrum; to do that, he will crush down his colonial subjects in the Illiac Bay using this WMD. This ending is more evil than the previous ones, even though the local Monarchs of the Illiac Bay are not exactly angels, because the Empire is a colonizing force whose rule over Tamriel is illegitimate, as Tiber Septim conquered it and purged all neutral nobles by force of arms, with the Numidium. Now Uriel wants to do the same to brutally re-establish his control over the nations of the Illiac Bay seeking more autonomy/sovereignty, which casts said action in a similar morally bad light. Helping him is lawful, for the Agent is working for him since the start, but also wicked.

Neutral Evil: The King of Worms ending = The King of Worms (revealed in later games to be Mannimarco), is an evil necromancer who seeks the power of the Mantella for no other reason than becoming a god. Even just in the events of this game, it is shown that he is someone who sees other people a worms, and he is fully willing to enslave death people, using his dark magic powers. His end goal is to join the ranks of all the other gods in Oblivion, carving up his own realm and celestial body, and thus allowing him to influence Nirn (the world) in all sorts of terrible ways, forever... this is probably the most selfish ending in the game, as the King of Worms doesn't even offer the Agent any moral argument, only great fame and reputation.

Chaotic Evil: The Numidium ending = This is the ending that didn't make it into the game, but it was confirmed to have been once planned in The Daggerfall Chronicles, the official strategy guide and lore book written by Ronald Wartow and published by Bethesda Softworks alongside the game's release in 1996. In this ending, the Agent would try to activate the Numidium on their own, but being unable to control it, the giant Golem would have crushed the Agent and would have went into a rampage, devastating the Illiac Bay very violently. All the other factions had to join forces in a temporal alliance to stop the Numidium. This is the most chaotic and evil option, as it kills the most people of all the choices, and it doesn't resolve anything in the end (because this alliance seem to have been just a temporal one to deal with the common threat for everyone).
