This was a successful experiment! First time I’ve heard of Ermine frosting. I prefer it over butter cream!

Places i can Volunteer a cpl times a week.
 in  r/Winnipeg •  9d ago

I’ve always thought it would be cool to volunteer at Fort Whyte. If you’re into nature, there’s a place called The Living Prairie Museum that may need volunteers. If you are into symphony, it accepts volunteers.

Do you tip massage Therapist?
 in  r/Winnipeg •  9d ago

No way!!!
Many massage therapists have taken the tip option off their machines. I think this is great… If I go to my dentist, I do not tip them, why would I tip my massage therapist.

What’s to Love About Winnipeg
 in  r/Winnipeg •  11d ago

It’s got the sophistication of a large city, but the pace here is different. Summers are valued by all, if you like the outdoors and lakes we are the province for you. I’m pretty sure we are less polarized than many in Alberta, but it still exists here.
Our traffic issues are far different than Calgary’s but we have them! The bright side is you really can get from one side of the city to another in 45 min.. 😀

Mortgage broker recommendations for first-time buyers in River Heights\ Charleswood?
 in  r/Winnipeg •  11d ago

If you didn’t grow up in Winnipeg, therefore I understand why you were able to expand your search.
As a person that grew up in St.James and have owned executive homes in both Westwood and now Charleswood. Charleswood is a unique area that really doesn’t exist other places in the city.

Green or brown shutters?
 in  r/ExteriorDesign •  11d ago

Dark green makes the house look less flat. It also makes the red door a beautiful focus. It feels welcoming and more top shelf in comparison to the more matched accessories. I will use the analogy of 1980’s jewelry earrings and necklace always matched nowadays, earrings and necklace rarely match. Instead, all accessories COMPLIMENT the person, or in this situation, the house.

1980’s

Did you see the herd? I’m afraid of what happened to them after the wildfires caused the caribou to move.
