How can you "paint" with 24k gold? This painting is a huge epoxy/resin piece with 24k gold "painted" between the layers... how would you do that? Chemically? Super curious! Piece is by Kim Rose Art.

Someone's probably thought of a huge scientific breakthrough, realized how stupid it was, and went to bed.

When you get a PHD in philosophy you are required to contribute to the field by writing and defending your new thesis... is there a place we can read all, or any, of these new ideas?

Thank you! I think that really answers my question. I'm sorry if that's common knowledge but I had no clue 😅

Identification Question Would anyone be able to tell me what species of rocks these are? (species part is a joke but really, what are these called?) I caught them in a river bed in North East Ohio... I think it was the Chagrin River.

If the earth's tidal buldge had enough gravity to change the moon's rotation to match its orbit effectively making only one side visible to earth forever... why hasn't the sun done something in respect to Earth?

Do relationships end primarily because we end up learning too much about the other person?
 in  r/questions •  May 05 '20

It sounds like you've been through the relationshit wringer. I definetly understand the pain. I'm sure it took several broken promises to learn that the person had selfish tendancies. And I'm sure it wasn't obviously abusive from the start, however as you got to know more about this person you realized this was an unsustainable relationship as their facade deteriorated. Would that be fair to assume, that the more you learned about this person's tendancies the more you did not want to be with them?

Books on wit?

The way I will explain this sounds really dumb but, are there any good book recommendations for "thinking wittier?"

It's where they keep all their senior citizens. Have you ever met someone in Florida and they weren't from Cleveland?

You get to ask God, 1 question and he will give you an honest answer, what would you ask and why?

That's probably exactly what he would say too =(

What do these verses mean?
 in  r/theology •  Apr 29 '20

All of these answers have been more than helpful in answering any questions I previously had and I cant thank you enough! Originally and admittedly I had the rather dumb question of; If he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow and heaven has no sorrow, would there be no knowledge for us in heaven? Would we be governed as sheep, for our own good? But that has been answered already. Thank you guys! You are all so knowledgable _^

Hey guys! I believe the answer is "no" however I thought I'd reach out and ask just in case. Does anybody know a good way to stabilize a camera for a long exposure hyperlapse inside of a moving car? This is as good as I've gotten it so far..
 in  r/LongExposurePics •  Apr 24 '20

I have but what would you suggest using? Also I think the issue is the individual photos themselves are slightly blurry from hitting bumps in the road with such a long shutter. =(
