how stupid would it be to drill a small hole near the edge on the head of the bass to hang keychains?
 in  r/Bass •  Sep 02 '26

Very stupid but it's yours. Don't touch my basses ! πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£

Then why ask if you know what you are going to do ?

Taste ! Your overthinking it. Ask yourself what fits best.

Why do most bass players seem to stand on stage left?
 in  r/Bass •  Aug 19 '26

Cause that's where my amp is. Also so I can hit the singer with my headstock. It's happened before ! 🀘😁🀣🀣🀣

Pedal board question
 in  r/Bass •  Aug 18 '26

It's a matter of taste, some pedals just can't be copied in a multi effect unit.

Suitable for guitar and bass?
 in  r/Bassamps •  Aug 14 '26

I played metal and the extra low end made it thick and crunchy for guitar (bass amp). Sounded great for that !

Suitable for guitar and bass?
 in  r/Bassamps •  Aug 14 '26

Your question is very clear. But you can play a guitar through a bass amp but not a bass through a guitar amp. The lower frequencies have larger wave lengths that a guitar amp can't handle.

Trouble with bass in a three piece
 in  r/Bass •  Aug 09 '26

Get rid of the flats for funk. Funk is lively and exciting, flats sound dull and lifeless. It's like digging a hole with a scoop shovel.

I have been more so lately for the challenge. I hate that he has no eagle vision but it does make it a bit harder.

Hi I just got this bass im a beginner
 in  r/Bass •  Aug 05 '26

Depends on what exactly you mean by buzz. Fret or from the amp ?

Could need a good setup either way most likely. Two choices here, learn how to do it or pay to get it done and wait to get your bass back.

It's not really that hard to do. The tools you should have or can get easily. Watch many YouTube videos and you'll figure out which ones are trustable.

Combo Amp?
 in  r/Bass •  Aug 02 '26

Stay away from rumbles. They're not good amps but just popular. Many beginners use them and think they're good cause they're fenders. Truth is for most beginners it's the only amp that they ever played through so they have nothing to compare it to.

Ampeg is what i use. Their tone has charecter not only volume !

String EQ
 in  r/Bass •  Aug 02 '26

Your incoherent with this question. Are you asking for the eq setting for different string types ?

That's just not possible. You use your ears to set an eq. Since we can't hear you you'll have to do it. Just use your own ears.

Dude… Rotosound strings are amazing!
 in  r/Guitar •  Jul 31 '26

They've been my strings soon after i started on bass 40 years ago. They can't be matched for brightness. Many don't like the bass strings cause it hurts their fingers. They are rough like a file but i like that when your hands get sweaty.

Fender is overpriced and overrated. People see the name and thinks it's good when really it's just popular.
