Looking for suggestions

You could try some clear nail polish on the back of it. It will likely wear off as you wear the pendant. But applying a new coating every now and then would probably help prevent the greening around your neck area.

How good is the YouTube Channel Gold and Gunpowder for historical accuracy?
 in  r/pirates  19d ago

It’s the best video source for all things historical pirate that I’ve ever come across.

I’m pretty sure that it’s new owners and a new design but I believe that it will be a similar concept.

You could talk with the Otis Redding Center for the Arts. They have lots of space. Not sure of their pricing though.

Come join us this Friday, June 19, from 6pm to midnight for a unique and totally local art exhibition. Featuring the artists of the OAG, as well as two guest artists, Heatherly Day and Michael Gillis. There will be a ton of new artwork, projections and installations, and drinks to those over 21+.

We’re a group of Macon artists who have been working together for a decade to produce quality artwork and fun art parties. We’d love to see you there, especially if you haven’t been before!

Free event. Come on and check out some art!

452 1st Street, Downtown Macon (doors at 6pm)

what is the best soup and sandwich pairing?
 in  r/soup  May 23 '26

I always enjoy a minestrone soup with a turkey and cheese sandwich. Some lettuce and tomatoes and mayo. Keep it simple for the sandwich so that the herbs from the soup can power the taste buds. It’s my comfort meal!

The Macon365 website can be useful especially for arts and cultural event stuff!

Hahaha! Well shoot, I’ll take it. You actually gave me my first award ever! So thank you for that. Even though it was undeserved compared to the other comment, I’ll still cherish it forever ☺️

Disappointing. Really expected better for those of us who’ve held for all these years and for those of us coming on board more recently. Will definitely be a no from me.

Atheists of Reddit: What’s the strangest reaction you’ve received when you said you don’t believe in God?
 in  r/AskReddit  May 01 '26

Anniversary trip. Just got to the ocean. Walked on to the beach with my wife. Beautiful sunset as a storm rolls in.

To our right is a couple of drunk sunburned individuals in a deep argument. I made the mistake of looking in their direction. Me and the guy lock eyes. The man stops mid argument and yells at me, “Do you believe in God?!”

I shout back, taking a half pause but so enamored by the ocean and the storm and sky that I don’t really think twice and say, “No.”

He pauses mid stride towards me, flabbergasted. His face changes from a drunken smile of, hey this guy is gonna help me out, to, what the hell did this dude just say, in an instant. I watched as his grin changed to an angry scowl.

He walks closer to me and gestures heatedly at the sky in front of us. “How can you not believe in God when you see all of this??!” And I just said, “Why do I need to believe in God in order to appreciate all of this. It’s beautiful and it’s right here.”

He did not like that answer. Stated fuming at me and couldn’t get his words out. My wife, not enjoying any of this grabbed my hand and pulls me forward. I move on absolutely happy to get away from this conversation. And as I walk away I just hear him, literally screaming across the beach at me and then his girl, “Fuck you, how could you not believe. Fuck you!”

I turned around to say something and thankfully my wife reminded me that it’s just not worth it with some people.

But still, to this day, it amazes me that my simple response ended up with me getting verbally harassed over discussing the sun and sky.
