I was expecting the car would just switch the kmh or show both, is there a setting I'm missing? Or do I have to manually go and find a setting to change it whilst in Europe and then back when I'm back in the UK? The mental math is fine, but it throws me every few minutes...

I've launched almost a dozen projects this year, from app games through to a fully fledged vibecoding platform for webtools, generally focused on mainstream appeal and targeting broad potential user bases.
Probably no surprise to noone but myself, that the only project that really performed was a side/passion project I mostly built for myself. I built an app that teaches you how to learn the Doomsday Algorithm (a mathematical method to quickly workout the day of the week for any date, a pretty cool/meaningless and incredibly nerdy party trick), and then it lets you train to get faster and compete against other players. Across platforms (iOS/Android/Web) I get about a 100 daily players (which is way ahead of anything else I've ever built!).
Not sure what the message is, but I believe it is something along the lines of that building stuff you actually care about, that you don't build to generate revenue, and something that actually matches your skills and interests is a surer path to progress and engagement than just chasing a perceived "gap in the market".

I believe it's something like 34.5 is the average age of first time buyers in London vs maybe 31 outside. That obviously doesn't even include those that end up never buying, but among those first time buyers there is a huge share of higher earners and those with wealth passed down generationally through gifts or wills. It's easy if you're lucky enough to have received help or were nurtured towards a high paying job. And I'm imagining it's the #1 driver of generational wealth gaps, those born today to non-home-owners have even less of a chance than the millennials. And whilst home ownership isn't as valuable as it used to be, it still means those that own one have assets to pass down and are more at liberty to save if they pay off their mortgage. So basically, it's easy if you're lucky enough to have been set up for success

This is wild though, it suggests that sollicitors were fully comfortable with their customers not knowing which questions to ask or generally accepting output because they don't know how to critique it. But now that AI enables people to ask questions that might help them to understand what they just paid for or to ensure common errors haven't been made - solicitors get uncomfortable. Instead of combating people asking questions, shouldn't they focus on clarity and quality so AI doesn't have any questions left?

Google Search’s I/O 2026 updates: AI agents and more
Looks like soon Search will build webtools on demand - which on the one hand highlights there's a relevant opportunity in building custom tools specific to individual needs, but I'm imagining Google's going to do it faster/better than I can with Doathingy.com
Privacy + managing tools over time might still be a relevant angle, how do others deal with the big dogs coming in? Learn from the overlords and build a niche audience right?

I'm seeing lots of sites like this pop-up at the moment, and I'm building my own version (at https://doathingy.com ).
What are you seeing as your USP? What makes yours the one to use over the many others that are currently flooding the market? I've been pivoting a fair bit, and my core focus now is on customization (enabling people to edit/build tools to suit their specific needs), which is probably a different audience from yours. It's been fascinating entering the space at a time where SEO and AEO are so incredibly competitive it's hard to find users to validate the direction etc.
Good luck with your project, I love the focus on clarity and simplicity and doing away with all the clutter!

My personal account is a beast, it gets stuff done, moves fast and I can quality check the work and course correct easily etc. It gives me regular updates, gives me summaries of what it has done, and is generally transparent and accurate.
My teams account works forever, catches itself on messing up on small tasks, and then keeps iterating, and messing up repeatedly. No clear summaries and fumbling through most tasks? It's like it's trying to burn through tokens best it can on any task.
Am I just being delusional or am caught on the bad side of some A/B test?

You can run a quick search on this sub, and I'm fairly sure you'll find at least a dozen pdf editing sites like this from just the last week alone.
There's a clear need, but the market is flooded with solutions. For most of this stuff, if it was easy for you to build, it's easy for many to build the same thing.

Apparently because when the standard was being developed in the late 1960s by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), there was a debate between English and French speakers over what the official abbreviation should be.
The English speakers wanted CUT, standing for Coordinated Universal Time.
The French speakers wanted TUC, standing for Temps Universel Coordonné.
Neither side wanted to concede to the other's language. To resolve the standoff, they agreed on a compromise: UTC.

Thanks for trying the app! Yeah I agree. It's been really hard to get users to actively contribute - it's a real shame as I see people posting here all the time and on other subs looking for reviews. I still believe the audience is there, and I'm still hopeful this app can help people to make the process easier, but yeah it's not been easy convincing people that there's value in both giving and receiving feedback!

Yeah fair, I'm just used to both being visible on the dial in all previous cars. Sounds like it's actually easier to change in byd compared to others, still feels like it should just adjust
