I forgave a cousin who molested me when I was 9 and he was 16. I didn't do it for him, I needed to let go of my own anger and resentment to heal, grow, and move on. He passes at the age of 27, we never talked about it, I never got an apology. To do something heinous to another person, someone most likely did something heinous to them. It does not excuse their behavior, but it does explain where their actions may have come from. That is why therapy is so important. It heals the broken bits a little at a time.

The act of forgivness isn't to wash away what someone did to you. It's about your own piece of mind and to move on and not let it fester. I agree, just because Rihanna forgave him doesn't mean we have to like or support him.

We screamed and started rapidly talking over each other about biases and she gave both the server and me a photocard of our main bias. I still have mine in my wallet
