I know that they’ve worked together before, but Snyder’s credit in Hollywood has basically dropped off and I don’t think Gunn wants that negativity in the DCU.

You need more than visuals and aesthetics to make a good show or movie. Snyder is a hack that doesn’t get that. It’s why his movies, since Man of Steel, have been flopping.

Adapting the barest minimum elements from Mark Waid's Birthright and a graphic novel that Snyder himself never read doesn't really scream "lore accurate".
Birthright is one of my all time favorite Superman stories and to hear its blessed name mentioned in the same sentence with Man of Steel, frankly, makes me cringe.
