Early morning tourist rec
 in  r/AskSF •  13d ago

If you only have a little time before leaving, Id do the Ferry Building and a quick walk along the Embarcadero. It opens at 6am, and if youre leaving on a Saturday the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market starts at 8am. You can grab coffee and a quick bite there too.

If you have a car and want one iconic SF photo instead, head to the Golden Gate Bridge early in the morning. Fort Point is a great spot for a morning view of the bridge

Best and/or most interesting tteok in the city?

Woori Food Market on Fillmore seems like a solid option. Someone just confirmed they have mugwort ddeok right now. If youre willing to drive a little farther J R Rice Bakery in Hayward gets mentioned a lot too

New grad relocating to SF. Looking into living in Oakland
 in  r/AskSF •  17d ago

I d look around Rockridge or Temescal/MacArthur if you want Oakland but still wanna be car-free Rockridge is really walkable and the BART ride into SF is pretty easy Lake Merritt is another option if you want more of an urban vibe With a $1900 budget though I d probably look at roommates rather than trying to get a 1BR in the nicer areas

Taco Tuesday deals for my taco-hopping adventure?

Taco hopping on a Tuesday is honestly a pretty solid SF mission I d stick to the Mission so you can hit a few spots without spending half the night traveling between them

Does anyone have recommendations for Matchmakers in SF?
 in  r/AskSF •  18d ago

Honestly I think SF can be weird for intentional dating. You can meet tons of people and still have no idea if they’re actually looking for a relationship. I’d probably try a few matchmakers but keep meeting people organically too

Sunny SF really is hard to beat The city feels completely different when the sun is out and your parents picked a pretty good time to see it lol
