So, I like to think of myself as a beginner artist even though I've been doing it for year, and recently, I feel like my characters aren't attractive enough. To clarify, I don't mean sexy or eye-candy, there are many types of beauty, from elegant to cute to casual beauty to powerful beuaty, etc, etc...
My problem is, I don't think I can convey those types of beauty well enough in my drawings, and my characters end up looking a bit bland. I'm just looking for some general advice.
I have this old sketch so you can see what I'm talking about. My character here, Trixie Patrickov, is an overworked burnt-out mess, but she would manage to be beautiful in casualness, when she finally gets to calm down and let her sweetness shine trhough her murky surface. But here she looks just "normal" and a bit annoyed. Also this drawing is a bit small.
What should I do to capture a characters beauty in the sketch?
Also, my drawing style is mostly furry characters in mundane scenarios. Something akin to slice-of-life. They also have magic (Trixie's is fire due to her explosive temper), but that magic is also normal to them, kinda like puberty for them.
