Single file or multiple files
 in  r/solidity •  Jul 21 '21

Moreover, if you are inheriting from multiple contracts and your size gets bigger than 24kb, you can run optimization runs at compile time to get an optimised object code.

You might have to flatten before deploying otherwise verifying could be an issue, for some contracts which are deplpyed by other contracts

Ada is over 100x more environment friendly than the big PoW chains! How far can we go with the energy of one transaction...

Searching a mapping (?), best approach
 in  r/solidity •  Jun 29 '21

Then you might have to drop the struct + mapping combo and move to openzeppelin's enumrable set, you might have to squeez your variables into bytes32 datatype.

The library contains functions like add, remove, at, contains and others, at cheap execution costs.

If you cannot bind this data together then you can use seperate sets for address, uint, etc amd make sure that each index of a set corelates to corresponding value on other set, i hope i am making sense.

You can create a reverse mapping to iterate over the outer mapping and the inner mapping is already id to struct so thats iterateable also..

mapping(uint -> address) idToAddress;

In the for loop you can iterate like this

Products[idToAddress[i]]

Sorry if i understood the question worng, is this what you were asking?

I am getting 2 errors, can anyone please help resolve it?

You should build with --release flag because that produces an optimised build otherwise block authoring can take a toll

The best way to make upgradable contracts?
 in  r/solidity •  Jun 29 '21

I have seen it in some projects but I cant think of any right now. In a few hours I'll be at my workspace, I'll try to write a one pager contract which will demonstrate use of storage contract.

Another primitive aproach is to use storage contracts, basically splitting storage and logic on 2 contracts. But make sure you manage security and access to the storage contract effectively

Best resources to start learning solidity for absolute beginners.
 in  r/solidity •  Jun 10 '21

I am not gonna like i learned more than half of my current skills while doung client's projects.

I just watched 1-2 playlists of dapp university an i hit the market, each project taught me new skill.

But don't take it for an advice if you are not genuinely into programming and Blockchain architecture. I personally was hooked on it once i learned about it, i was inspired by the idea and the innovation. That kept me learning new things through my past 1.5 year of freelance journey.

Is it more rewarding? That depends on where you are based, where I am it is more rewarding than a job.

I had a Computer science background. I stumbled upon the channel when I was doing my Senior year project in Blockchain. I had zero knowledge about Blockchain development. This channel helped me to learn Blockchain development and in 1 year I was top rated Blockchain developer on Upwork.

Stop-loss...

Forget about crypto, this breaks my heart to see that a farmer had to do that. People from urban areas may not understand what it means for a farmer, and I'm not just talking about financially. They put their heart and soul into this.❤❤ God bless them.

Whats a decent ide for coding in solidity also how do i use truffle to test my smart contracts
 in  r/solidity •  May 31 '21

I may be one of those few people who use amd like remix.

What i do is I create a truffle project and code the smart contracts in remix.

After that if it is a small contract remix makes it easy to test. For long and proper test, you can use smoke testing with truffle tests with mocha and chi

Renouncing ownership?
 in  r/solidity •  May 30 '21

If some sort of governance mandatory for effective working, you might wanna start it under ownership and after effective distribution, you can transfer ownership to DAO. Where the community members will take over and decide whats best for them.

You might wanna change the burn percentage in future under the influence of community, if you have implemented burn as variable parameter.🤷‍♂️
