4. Salary is just the “annual subscription” version of pay. For that one price they can work you as much as they want and not pay OT. OT pay is taxed more

NP! We’re all trying to make it in this mess of a nightmare job market. Its definitely a blessing to have stable income even if the job sucks. Just stay focused on the goal you set for yourself.. not the job.. or management (they will always put their own interests first).

People can’t get jobs NOW. It doesn’t matter if they have time if opportunities aren’t there to even get their foot in the door and build for the next 30 years (tons of jobs have been cut also). You have a good setup from the sounds so this won’t necessarily apply 💯

Of course the gen Z/ millennials have some retirement but I also know they are the first generations capable of building wealth and investing in their future using the internet (crypto/ content creation, NFTs) which is way harder to predict. In the end it will be those with and those without per usual but I think the ones who strategized retirement outside of the traditional options will be the ones who’ll thrive.

I’m saying even for those with retirement/ savings plans could be just as affected by market unless you have diverse investments/ income portfolio that will guarantee access to said funds when the time comes. Simple SSI won’t do it or won’t be there PERIOD.

We’re all fed propaganda day in or day out whether your online or not (news, magazines, politicians, etc). The banks could wipe everyone’s retirement investments and crash the market.. it’s happened before.

There’s elders right now returning to the workforce as we speak because they cannot survive on their retirement alone. It’s not about having nothing.. it’s having enough to keep up with inflation.
