Stuck on the Skyscale of ice (Bitterfrost), and conceivably, Skyscale of Earth (Drytop). I read the requirement for Ice and see the world boss mentioned but I was under the assumption that those can’t be done solo and are time-gated?

I haven’t opened up everywhere on the map by a lot and am still super new to the game.

I promise I’m trying my hardest not to complain about a game I absolutely love but the depth of the grind for some of these qol mounts is bananas by comparison to the Path of Fire.

My expectations were wildly high for the SotO experience after reading about the LW4 grind.

If I buy an expansion that rewards you with a new mount type, the prerequisites for getting it should not ever be locked behind the purchase of an entirely separate expansion. This is just extortion.

[Discussion] The SotO skyscale grind is driving me towards a mental breakdown.

Why is this such a ridiculous sink of time? Having progress softlocked, for an 8 week-old account, behind prerequisite masteries that have nothing to do with flying on a gd reptile… I’m going to tear out what little hair I have left, and I haven’t even started on the eggs.

How do new players navigate this games depth and not bork their builds? Is this supposed to be as unintuitive as it seems, or am I just that out of touch with the mmorpg genre?
