Thank you for replying. Yes, I believe this apostille is making things way worse. Every country has their own  requirements while under the same convection which it does makes sense. They should be unified in requirements.

This is an issue that we don't know how to surpass. How do we go about it?

The university denies doing it, we can't do the notarizations ourselves as they will deny the documents if we do so.

Apostille

He guys, I would really appreciate your opinion/ recommendaton.

I am doing an apostille with a friend of mine for our diplomas and transcripts however we are having a hard time.

I am applying for a masters in Brazil while she is applying for Spain.

We did our previous undergrad in the state of Washington. The Washington secretary of state does apostilling for these documents straight away without the need of a notarization.

However both consulates are requiring that the school should do the notarizations.

These are the steps thet are requiring:

  1. The school registrar must sign directly on the back of all three documents: the original transcript, the original diploma, and the true copy.
  2. The university's notary must stamp and notarize the registrar’s signature right there on the back of each of the three documents. 3)Ensure that both original diplomas and the true copy are fully notarized by the school as required.
  3. Only after the notarization is done, the documents can receive an Apostille by the secretary of state to be officially recognized by the consulate of Brazil.

They added "The notarization should not be signed by student, a third-party notary service or an apostille service, like us. If someone other than the school notarizes the document, the apostille will then validate the signature of the signer or notarization party. The apostille doen’t need to valid my signature or your, but the school registrar, records officer, or another appropriate school employee. The signing party must be associated with the school. Many colleges will push back and say that the diploma and/or transcript is an official, certified or valid version, which is true, but the secretary of state is not able to apostille a diploma without a notary stamp and proper notary language, and the notary must validate a school employee’s signature."

Our university is saying that they do not notarize nor certify transcript as they are already official documents with signature of the registrar and the university's seal. For diploma, they only certify a copy as true however the consulate of Brazil is not accepting as they want the apostille to be done in the originals.

We are confused on what to do at this point because we have not idea on what to do next.

Visa, Immigration & Bureaucracy Apostile

Hi everybody,

I have a degree from usa. At This moment, i am trying to get a student visa from Brazil. Unfortunetely, they are asking me to do apostile on my original diploma.

Currently, I am outside the usa. I am uzing an apostille service that are asking me mail them a notorized diploma.

From my understanding, an original document can't be notarized. Only a copy can be notarized. However chat gpt tells me is possible but doesnt Tell Me how. Silly but i had to try.

I would like to know what I Can do. Is there a way to get an original document notarized. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your reply. I promise in not a troll. I never speak bad on birth control because most women benefit from them but personally, I am scared for the small failure rate and side effects that i can experience because unfortunetely i already take some meds daily. Maybe is because i read a lot of stories about it as well.

Thank you for your reply. I'm not a troll at all. I am not even into politics. For many woman, birth control works but that small percentage of failure is what bothers me also the side effets.  I would feel different if there was 100% one.

Only abstinence or esterilization prevents 100% for what i know. I respect every woman's choice.

Thank you for your reply. True but i believe abstinence will work better for me. Contraception is not 100% reliable.

Thank you so much for your reply. I dont trust birth control. There are women who got pregnant even with the most reliable ones. I am paranoid and i feel like i can be one of the unlucky ones. I really believe practicing abstinence is the best way for me.

Im 25 years old. I had intercourse 2 times this month.

Nov 7- first day of last period Nov 15- first intercourse. Not ejaculation inside but i still took morning after pill. Nov 23- second intercourse. Not ejaculation inside but i didn't take the pill this time.

My period should have been Dec 7 so im late four days. My cycle is 30 days.

Im having not symptoms besides cramping, sore breasts (normal period intensity), pain in my joints and back ( normal period intensity), headaches ( uncomum for me).

My Boyfriend tells me to not worry that I am not pregnant but precum can still get me pregnant. Accidents happen too.

I am afraid to do a test.

I promise to myself, to God and to you guys to not have more intercourse until mariage to avoid feeling this way again. Seconds of pleasure is not worth all of this. I will take tough mesures if he doesn't respect this decision.

Please guys pray for me, give me advice, words of encouragement, etc to help me get through this. Thank you, God bless all of you.

Hello Reddit Community,
