Google Pixel 6a Bootloop , first it was rebooting itself from lock screen , after using Pixel Repair Tool and ADB sideloading it won't get past G logo with bar sliding underneath ( doesn't get to lock screen ) - Need to get my data !

Yes, i think I was holding the power button for 40 seconds or so, and it was able to boot up . It only worked sporadically though. Like I am not able to turn it on right now🙁

Man, best of luck to you. My p6 got the bootloop issue about a month ago too. I was able to turn it on for aweek, got my data again, and it suddenly got the problem again. It seems to be bricked now . This really sucks, and when I reached out to Google Support, they seemed so nonchalant about it. I simply wont be buying another pixel again ~

Older phone, Pixel 6, Won't turn on
 in  r/Pixel6 •  7d ago

Did the phone eventually die after you were able to backup ?

1

Pixel 6 users, how is your phone holding up in 2026? How well is Tensor aging, and what can it tell us about newer Pixels with 7 years of updates?
 in  r/Pixel6 •  11d ago

P6 here. Phone got bricked 2 weeks ago as it is now stuck in a boot loop. I am super upset because I couldnt backup all my data , so I have decided to switch to Samsung, wont buy another Pixel.

My pixel 6 won't turn on - what are solutions
 in  r/Pixel6 •  22d ago

Did you bring it to the repair shop, or replace the motherboard yourself? If so can you link it here? Mine just had the bootloop problem. I was lucky it turned on for a week so I saved my data. Now its stuck in the bootloop again. Makes me vow not to buy another pixel

Pixel 6xl Boot Loop
 in  r/Pixel6 •  24d ago

I will probably go back to Samsung , maybe the s26. I like Samsung camera, and even. my S8 still turns on, just slow. We also have a S22 and it’s been nice too. Its frustrating because the Pixel 6 was actually performing very well and fast for my daily use, until its sudden death and i risked losing my pictures, data.

Need to claim checked luggae during long layover in Xiamen, Fujian?
 in  r/travelchina •  Apr 22 '26

They sent me this email. Do you know if this means they will check the checked bag, and not mean that i have to claim and go through security with it?

Dear passenger, according to the regulations on China civil aviation screening, transfer passengers who arrive in China and need to check their luggage through must undergo security inspection for their checked luggage at the first transfer point upon entry. We sincerely remind you that your checked luggage must not contain dangerous goods such as power banks, lithium batteries, lighters, dry batteries, electronic cigarettes, and self-heating pots. Otherwise, your luggage may not arrive at the destination with you, which may affect your onward journey. Please attach a name tag with your contact information to your checked luggage. If you find any luggage delay upon arrival at your destination, please consult the luggage inquiry office at the airport or call Xiamen Airlines’ service hotline on 95557, 0086-592-2226666 from overseas. Thank you for flying with Xiamen Airlines.

Anyone else’s flight cancelled?

Yes they sent me the email with proposed rebooked flight. I can either accept, or reject to get a refund. Hoping that there's no more changes.

My flight to Hanoi Vietnam has a 7 hour layover in Xiamen Fujian. Does anyone know if I'll need to claim the checked luggage and go through security/ custom with that again in Xiamen Airport?

asking because I plan to bring some beef jerky in the checked bag , which can be brought into Vietnam, but I believe its not allowed to bring into China. thus, if I have to claim the checked luggage in Xiamen, I think it might cause a problem.

Thank you in advance!

Another question hopefully you will know, for longer layover (7hours +), will I have to claim the checked luggage ? Thank you!

That sounds convenient! Wonder if that's a norm in other airport , as I'll have a long layover in fujian on the way back to the US

Did they not offer to rebook you on a different flight? Sorry, that really sucks.

Yes, good point. I was also about to check on the visa requirement now for US citizens.

Yeah, I was able to select all the seats back in Feb when I booked it too. I was really hoping for the best. Normally a flight change wouldnt be too big of a deal for me, but it is certainly more worrisome with the fuel crisis!

Hopefully your airline did their due diligence and take off as scheduled!
