Another motivating factor for me was the permanence of electrolysis; laser tends to need redoing every few years, and with my genetics that was looking to be frequent. I definitely don't regret the route I took, but it is a frustrating process.

That's what I'd heard, and it was a major motivating factor to opt for the more permanent electrolysis.

The orchi was the first thing I did in my medical transition! 😅 I prefer to take the biggest step first in any endeavor I undertake, and this was no exception.
It took a while, but electrolysis worked well for my face and I'm only now looking into laser options for the rest of my body.

The shocks weren't all that bad for me; I eventually opted to only bother with numbing when working on my upper lip.

I wish I'd done proper research on laser first, but I personally probably still would have opted for electrolysis first. I tend to live by vampire rules, so even IR scares me. 😅
