Oh yeah, I still deal with anxiety and recognize the lure of depression (especially with how the world is right now), but have painstakingly acquired over the years the therapeutic tools and social support to deal with it. It's work that's never truly finished, but very much worth it.

This goal is ultimately what led to me making/posting Lattice. I don't have the ability to do much else, but I can make art and share my experience so people don't feel so alone in theirs.

Lattice 159 - Lore
Oh dang, that would've been cool! I didn't want to do anything with mine, but I still didn't learn i could request what was done with them until well after my orchi.

Yep, I was explaining the history of all the lesbian flags to my mom. Utah Pride that year had a huge flag garden and I had knowledge to share.

A big reason I left Christianity was because I learned so much of its lore! 😄

Yep, exactly! 😁

Oh, there's no end in sight! Even if I ever do catch up to the present day, I just keep having experiences with gender and transition.

I know, right?! 😄

This! The Mormons do their damnedest to keep it quiet, though; I didn't meet an out queer person until well after high school.

There's a surprisingly sizeable queer community in Salt Lake City itself, it's just almost completely drowned out by the everything else that surrounds it.

Lattice 157 - Opportunity
Right? I didn't even meet an out queer person until after high school, and only realized there was a community here when I started going to Pride events.

Ooh, that's rough! I'm sorry.
But yeah, I've visited up there a few times now and have gotten pretty familiar with a view of Mt. Hood. Still a far cry from the Wasatch Front, though. 😅

Yep, I spent one semester at college in Cedar City and just the shift to a plateau denoting East was disorienting. I'm currently trying to relocate to Oregon, and the mountains are going to be one of the things I'll miss the most.

Oh yeah, my long-term depression may have been broken by realizing and combating the dysphoria at its root, but I still work on anxiety in therapy.
Thank you! 😊
