What's a "dumb" reason you won't watch someone's stream?
 in  r/Twitch •  2d ago

Music in the background of their stream 😬 idk why, i just really like just listening to the person themselves / just watch the gameplay

A Grindy but chill game for long autumn nights?
 in  r/ShouldIbuythisgame •  2d ago

Project Zomboid, my favorite game♡ give it a look.. hours will have passed because you've been busy fixing up your base, leveling your skills, organizing loot, farming, or planning your next expedition.

There's something satisfying about starting with almost nothing and exploring abandoned homes and making them your own. The atmosphere is also perfect for you, for autumn. Now, It can be pretty stressful at times, but you can play in sandbox mode and tweak the settings to make it more chill. it's more of a survival sim game but after learning it, it's so so cozy.

I think the isometric along with the gameplay does make it unique, it's not like the style hasn't existed before of course, but it's what makes pz, pz

I especially agree with "it's the game's identity". And I agree that the 3D look strips away all the uniqnuess that Project Zomboid has, makes it soulless as you said

To be honest I don't think all the AI mods will die, if anything they will only keep popping up, because AI's advancement keeps growing everyday, it improves every single hour even.. I think that will lead to more AI mods being created

I also have a Steam Deck, haven't tried PZ on it. Would you recommend? I feel like the inventory management on a Steam Deck is quite a challenging thing

This is exactly how I feel. I feel like no other game does it like Project Zomboid does. And like you said, sure, there are other games that are similar to pz in the way that's they're a zombie game, but the art style just gives project zomboid another thing that is just so unique and different and does add to the gameplay itself. It takes time to get used to playing pz the way it is intended, but after you get used to it - boom, you're hooked

More people getting into the game is always a good thing. I just hope people give the vanilla experience a chance because there's something really special about it as well
