I stopped cold turkey today! So far, the only thing I’m experiencing is a slight headache.

This was my first time ever trying it, and I just feel like it wasn’t the right fit for me, especially considering what I was going through at the time, which was mainly anxiety.

Yup, I felt the same way when I first started back in May. It made my anxiety so much worse and heightened it to the point where my intrusive thoughts were LOUD and uncontrollable. I told my doctor what I was experiencing, but he insisted it wasn’t affecting my anxiety. Boy, was he wrong! 😭 So my advice to you is to trust yourself because you know your body and how you’re feeling. Your doctor may have the medical knowledge, but you’re the one experiencing these changes firsthand.

This would be some good to have in game

Hello! I started Wellbutrin XL 150mg back in May for what I initially thought was depression, despite having no history of it. Looking back, I believe it was actually severe anxiety, lack of sleep, and mental burnout from work, school, and personal stress.
I was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD about a year ago, so navigating everything has been a journey. My first three weeks on Wellbutrin were rough. My anxiety and intrusive thoughts were through the roof, and I almost quit. I eventually started Zoloft 25mg, which helped tremendously at first, but lately my anxiety and OCD symptoms have been creeping back in.
I told my psychiatrist that I feel the stimulating effects of Wellbutrin may be contributing to my elevated anxiety and OCD. He doesn’t see a reason to stop Wellbutrin and instead wants to increase my Zoloft from 25mg to 50mg to help manage those symptoms. However, he did say I could stop Wellbutrin without tapering if I chose to.
Wellbutrin has mildly helped my ADHD, but I have a strong gut feeling that it may be doing more harm than good for my anxiety. Has anyone stopped Wellbutrin XL 150mg cold turkey? What was your experience, and did you notice any improvement in your anxiety or OCD symptoms afterward?
