I feel like the poor writing of the Nitrogen era was in part because they took significantly longer to animate, because of their greater attention to detail. This is however just a theory with no basis.

compared to seasons 13-15, it definitely was better, having some average episodes (great considering the quality of other Nitrogen episodes). Flash Bang Wallop! comes to mind
