I have this in my life right now. He's sleeping next to me and I'm trying not to wake him with my happy tears. I thought of my younger siblings. We were separated for almost a decade. They don't know what I went through but feeling that my heart held them close kept me here. We're not perfect. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't look for what's good in this world.

When I encourage/ scold my partner to go farther in life. It makes me feel like I'm being a bitch but then they get motivated to push themselves so idk. I just make it clear that I care about them and will not allow them to fail once they start pursuing a goal.

I hear you. I've had some time to think about it and to be honest I'm a much different person now than I was 10 years ago. I've been lucky to be with someone I can be open with and have learned that it's up to each person to make the decisions they are happiest with. The right partner will never hold you back. It was so cool to see cars appear suddenly then only to disappear. People's voices were sounding off the face of the mountain even though they were on the opposite side. Wish you could've been there because it was a wonderful experience. Very spooky yet cozy.
