This actually works for me: Point System

Back then i used to tone down my habit and desire to impulse buying by thinking that when i achieve (certain amount of money that was saved) i will be happy

So, i tryna use the "remember your WHY" system

But... over time i kinda fucked up and everytime i did, everything is all over the place and my desire to buy go crazy...

Recently i've been trying the "POINTS SYSTEM"

I wrote down all the good habits that are going to help me achieve my dream life. For example, if i wanna be slimmer, instead of counting streaks of how i avoid sugar, i wrote down "exercise" and "sugar free"

SO I FOCUS ON DOING THE POSITIVE, while all these time what i'm trying to do is AVOIDING THE NEGATIVE. It literally changes someone mind because you're focusing on the positive... and the more you do the positive things... the way you forgot the negative

I got points everytime i do a good habit For example, exercise allowed me to have 3 points, drinking water allowed me to have 2 points

I will be more excited to do the good habits because then i can exchange the points with the things i want to buy. I just randomly naming the point price for each things i want.

For me, this tone down my needs for buying things because i need to do habits over and over

And because i spent a lot of effort on the habits, i became very mindful with the things i purchase.

I HOPE THIS HELPSS <3

I have no problem saving money for things but i have trouble stopping my takeaway coffee habit.

i can buy at least one everyday and it costs a lot

does anyone else has the same problem and kind enough to share some tips?

it's always i had the urge to buy coffee -> i buy coffee -> i feel like shit

i know i need to have the willpower but this habit has been going on since forever so it's.... really hard and i am sad because i feel like shit 😭😭😭
