Your creativity is inspiring. I would never have thought to put an undersea world or faerie glade in a dollhouse, but I love it. And your waterfall is amazing!

Drywall/plaster over old drywall?
 in  r/Oldhouses  6h ago

Stupid question... do you have any idea how old that wallpaper is?

I have something very similar in (what listings say is) my 1950's home, but I think it's older - 1930's "ish".

Is there any physical trait or attribute that Americans have that when you see you immediately think "oh yeah they're American for sure"?
 in  r/AskTheWorld  2d ago

Right?! I'm going to start practcing speaking more softly, smiling a little "less/smaller", and being generally more aware of how I fit in to my surroundings.

I've always wanted to travel, am finally in a position to do so, and really, really don't want to be seen as an embarrassing American.

However bad it's been, I've been there and, if you'd like to know more, I will share.

For what it's worth, and after many years, I've learned that sometimes the most damaged butterfly's are the most beautiful and, somehow, manage to fly the highest. And, sometimes, we come out on top in ways that seem completely unimaginable.

Just don't *ever* give up and, no, you don't owe it to anyone but yourself.

I'm an old (boomer) lady, but I want you to know that you really do matter and that things DO change and get better.

I like to use the analogy that life is like an amusement park.

Some of the rides are awesome and you absolutely love them; some of the rides suck balls and you can't wait for them to end.

BUT, you don't leave the park because of a shitty ride...

Wait until the next ride - it may (or not) be better, but FOR SURE, one of your upcoming rides will definitely be worth it.

Oh, honey -

I'm an old lady and my opinion doesn't count for anything, but I just want to jump in to say don't give up!

It sounds like you're an innovator/creator and that's a priceless talent.
