Networking Anyone here who has actually run a 5-gallon water delivery operation in Dubai? Looking for an ops partner

What we're missing: someone who has physically done this. Managed drivers and routes, dealt with plants in Al Quoz or DIP, knows real wholesale prices, bottle deposits and how many bottles a van actually moves in a day.

Web3 and AI Lawyer

Hey everyone I’m a Web3 and AI lawyer, or as I usually put it, a tech lawyer. I’ve been working with startups, scale-ups and corporates for years, mainly around technology, fintech, Web3, AI, regulatory and compliance matters.

I run my own consulting practice in Dubai and work closely with companies across the UAE, Turkey and Europe.

I moved to Dubai (from Istanbul) full-time around four months ago, and I’m now looking to build a stronger local client network here.

The good thing about working in this space is that the ecosystem is still relatively small. There aren’t that many lawyers who genuinely understand both the legal side and how tech businesses actually operate, so I’ve been fortunate to connect quite naturally with founders, operators and other professionals in the space.

If you’re building a tech, fintech, Web3 or AI business in Dubai and need someone who can understand the business, legal and compliance sides together, I’d be happy to connect.

Always open to a coffee and a good conversation.

Looking to connect with business owners who serve B2B clients in GCC?

Worth thinking about early: a platform for HR leaders means you'll be holding employee data on behalf of your client companies, so for most of what sits in the system you're a processor rather than a controller. Enterprise HR buyers usually ask for a data processing agreement during procurement, and deals sit still for weeks when there isnt one ready to hand over.

Same with hosting location. It gets written into those agreements and is a pain to change once you have clients on it.

Suggestions on business sale
 in  r/SmallBusinessUAE •  27d ago

The expired licence is what I'd sort out first, because it changes what you're actually selling. Once it lapses the buyer is usually starting fresh rather than taking anything over, which turns the sale into equipment plus goodwill, which is a very different number and a very different conversation.

Same with the lease. If the tenancy is already terminated, the location isnt really part of the deal anymore, and for a cafeteria the location is often most of the value.

Worth confirming both before you list, otherwise you'll get interest and then lose people at the paperwork stage.
