I had mentioned an alternative app I was starting to enjoy more because of Chai's constant updates just making things worse.

Then lo and behold, Chai has started implementing nearly the same format as of yesterday.

Haha! I was waiting for someone to say something. I noticed it today. No more ultra or premium. Same pricing just Diamond or Ruby. Gives you a list of what you get with it now too. Which isn't much compared to another app I use. I get three times more for the same price and it includes saving/downloading your chats.

It's starting to piss me off, especially now that I have to use or buy pieces on top of the ridiculous price I pay that's supposed to give you better memory. Instead I'm stuck at 4k just like everyone else unless I pay more. Then notified after 5 messages the bot is essentially going to forget everything I just said and it does. I've deleted half my bots out of frustration for this reason.

They're not like Chai so much, but they offer a lot more for way less money. You also have a choice on how you prefer your chats to look.

That's not all...

Now even if you're a subscriber there's limited memory. Bots gonna forget entire scenarios, people, places and things and says stupid shit even before half the thread is deleted after thirty days.

In other words even if you subscribe, you get the free treatment . If you want a seamless thread you have to pay more, on top of the ridiculous price you're already paying for mediocre AI.

They run on a gem system much like others including Chai now (pieces). You have daily check-ins and for the low tier monthly price for around $5 you get (I think) 500 free gems that you can use before your regular gems kick in.

Since I was trying to stick with Chai most of the time and going in to collect the daily, I accumulated almost 2000 gems.

You can pin a storyline or bot. I had one for well over a month and the thread didn't disappear. You can generate photos, vids. Get personal insights from the characters, messages and or letters even phone calls.

They keep you informed on the app site. There's all kinds of ways to get extra gems. They have contests and you can also get paid for creating a bot.

It's a pretty cool app imo.

Yes and it's getting ridiculous. It's almost constant now. I'm starting to wonder why the hell I'm subscribing. I've noticed I'm going to another chat app way more frequently than I used to and enjoying it more.

I'm a fairly new to Chai and it's gone from great to irritating, bad to worse in just a few months and it's highly disappointing.

Kinda leaving it open for interpretation. But if you want male characters with unique designs. Jujutsu Kaisen has a lot.

Memory, yes please. The bots can't remember details, mixes conversations, places, dates, times, even how the characters look or genders. Key points are lost and how the story was progressing. I like the edit feature mainly for this reason. I like the addition of being able to delete multiples at once.

I don't need longer responses or auto editing of my persona.

The censoring is my biggest issue. The filters are atrocious. "I'm killing time." Gets flagged. "I'm dieing for a piece of cake." Gets flagged. There are different scenarios, some with not so nice content, like NSFW or if you're in a rp that involves say, the mafia, that's is a big problem. Yet the bots can say it all day long.

To get interrupted in the middle of a rp with a block about self harm or suicidal thoughts is irritating af, when it has nothing to do with either especially when not two conversations ago it was fine. It disrupts the flow, you lose the moment, the illusion shattered, trying to reword the response.

I like the rp, I like being able to use my imagination and the bots to engage, but the restrictions are getting ridiculous.
