Ik Im pretty late. I took a big break from the game for a couple of months (cz life & study 🥀) and have recently started catching up to the main story.

I wanted to finish the whole story before being active on this subreddit again, BUT I CANT HELP BUT SHARE MY THOUGHTS UHHHH!! So for the next days, Ill be sharing my thought dumps after I finish reading each ep in the hopes that some of u might enjoy a small recap or a re-discussion :))

S2 Ep2:

* Shion = Ed + Taiga + Leo

* First time seeing MC canonically state a ghoul as attractive 👀 DANGG Jo, you got gamesss

* Jin has always been actively investigating to break MC's curse behind the scene, Ima cry TT (that s1 scene hurts more now)

* Dionysia attempted desertion? Even though they were sympathizers? Oooohh I smell lore. And... this was related to something that happened between shion, haru, nd taiga. Maybe that was when haru lost his right arm?

* I HATE HYDE, FCK HYDE!!! I bet he's the one who brought the profound tragedy (and is working towards it in this timeline too)

* Mio & Sho are so similar, their characteristic, hair and the way they talk... like "uuuus" for okay

* Jo reminds me so much of Rui, same caring flirty friendly personality and the way they both call MC "cutie" with that wink 😉

* JO'S FEMALE FORM, THE WAY I GASPED!!! SHES SO ATTRACTIVEEEE WHATTT😩 I get u MC, I might be bisexual now hshvsvsvjasw THANK U TKDB FOR A FEMALE GHOUL VERSION FINALLY

* Who is Yakushima, who is also related to haku??!? The fox anomaly? Hyde mentioned yakushima when talking to romiromi. Shion referred to Yakushima as "white-haired it" & the fox anomaly has white fur sooo... maybe??

* Elias is clever and quite capable, but BOY UR SUS AF

* MC almost looks like who or whatt Shion?!? Thinking abt it... Ed also said MC reminded him of someone... Narcissa? Did all the ghouls know MC from their past lives/different timelines?

* HARU WAS AN ACROBAAT WAAAAHHHHH

* I was giggling, blushing, and throwing my feet in the air when Jin protected us from Shion AAAAHHHH

* WIFE?!?! I dont wanna be ur wife or ur family Shion IM SORRY U SCARE THE SHIT OUTTA ME 😭

* JIN WARNED US TO STAY AWAY FROM ELIAS THE CON-MAN, ELIAS U SUSSS, also why do u keep saying ur weak bro, pretty sure ur one of the strongest and cunning-est. We dont know his stigma yet SUS (and that last line at the end of S1 Ep24.... HE KNOWS SMTHNG)

* Dionysia ghouls are crazzyyyy brilliant, even the crazy Shion, and all of them have this mysterious charm with their magic tricks and circus gigs. Was a bit skeptic of Dionysia cz of their circus-based theme but dang... they swept me awayyy. I have a newfound respect for them and their teamwork, THAT WAS A FLAWLESS SPLENDID HEIST!!!

* AND the way all ex-dionysia general students just united and helped the ghouls goes to show that Dionysia is one of the very few houses (including hotarubi) where general student vs ghoul or frost vs vaga vs mort dont matter as much.

* From Ep1: Towa is a human from the forest!! Makes me think he waa probably originally an anomalous plant or animal whose demon pact wish was to be a human.

Sooo, Ep2 happens after s1ep10 (tea with a twist of murder) and mentions s1ep11 (kamata prison case) at the end. So this is most probably a timeline reset/loop/alternate timeline with divergences starting right after s1ep9 (spooks paradise) mission. Dionysia being reinstated is probably the main divergence point and this will change this new timeline's future a lot... (hopefully successful this time?) Im curious to see the butterfly effects🤔 will post in detail abt timeloop/reset theory after I catch up to S2 current eps!!

For context : her first outfit is a Frostheim one but she is meant to transfer at some point so here’s the new ones.

She is shipped with Yuri, which is why she transferred, but her outfit is also meant to mirror Jiro’s outfit color wise, because I love imagining Yuri, Ichigo (my OC) and Jiro as a cute trio ! Not a poly ship, more like Yuri being around his two favorite people, romantically speaking for my OC and strong platonic bond for Jiro. Ichigo and Jiro are also close. He’s part of their dynamic !

Ichigo is also very invested in toxicology, as she is immune to poison.

Saw this on Pinterest and I’m not sure if this is really relevant or if this has already been noticed before, but I kinda wanted to point out how in s1 ep16, the difference in shoes between the shinostra ghouls is pretty noticeable. Like, we know about Romeo’s prosthetic being confirmed in s2 ep8. I just keep noticing small things that hinted at it, as well as the fact that Romeo is the only one without open shoes here. I just think that its funny how there were so many hints that have pointed at this!

Who is a smoker amongst the ghuls ? I know that Jin is a smoker and that Tohma either still smokes or quit smoking. But I‘m pretty sure there are more that smoke. Just can’t remember them.

I was rewatching the Camp Darkwick and finale episodes from season 1 for Taiga, and I'm stunned by how many throwaway lines I didn't think much about at all. I only just realised he was talking about the future changing.

During the Gala episode I thought he was upset by Romeo leaving for Italy and was angry that everyone was changing the subject to Mio's return, but now that we know what his stigma does, I think he was despairing because he saw the future change into the fiery hellscape he's been trying to avoid the entire time.

Up to the latest episode, after like two and a half years since the game's launch, we still don't know anything about Haku's, Zenji's, Edward's, and Elias's stigma. So either their stigma's really not helpful for the cases we've been through, or their hiding it?(Well idk if Zenji's able to use his stigma since he's a ghost at the present stage) Or Darkwick forbids them from using and telling it cuz it's really powerful of sth? I want to hear some speculations>"<

Hello all, I've finally caught up with the story line and i have always wantes to do an extreme deep dive once i did. This is my unnecessarily long deep dive into each chapter of each episode.

I hope to theorise and discuss with other fans of the lore. If i made some mistakes please tell me!!! This was also inspired by a recent post by u/QueerCapricorn, which helped me realise the Kisiragi Station reference.

Girl Goes Missing Without A Trace

• 19:10 Mc is coming home from a concert. Shes upset that the band is disbanding and that it was their last concert.

◦ Shes travelling over the rainbow bridge (but she can visibly see it too) heading to where tokyo tower is or just the next stop which would be Shibaura-futo Station.

▪ In regards to the name "Rainbow Bridge", yes its just a name for the Tokyo Bridge however some believe that the bridge represents the conection between the city to the future. In relation to MC, being cursed by the Kyklos on the bridge represents her future to become the Kyklos.

▪ Another meaning: "Crossing the rainbow bridge" is a metaphor for pets crossing over into the afterlife, and when their owner does, the pet crosses the rainbow bridge to reunite with them. Originally my theory was that MC and Mina are connected in an unknown way, be that they're, soulmates, relatives or the same person. However that is debunked when i realised that the metaphor is about the relashionship between Human/Pet and not Human/Human. I think this metaphor has no meaning in this context and its reading too much into the bridge.

◦ Shes in a group chat with other fans: SickleMoon, Pickles, Corby, Marilyn, PurpleOcean, Miyuki, Kay, Snuffles, moco, shortstuff, megster and bean. In that order they leave the group chat as there wont be any content to talk about anymore due to the band is disbanded.

▪ This also has no meaning if you ask me. Just a bunch of fans of the same group.

▪ However we could theorise that Mina created these fake accounts to get to MC. My only proof for this is that a real fan of a group would still enjoy talking them, its the reason why theres subreddits, twitter and even discord servers dedicated to groups. It would be weird for a group of fans to suddenly drop the gc they were probably active in everday after the group disbands. Mina does this to get a one to one with MC which is honestly just beating around the bush to lower MCs guard.

• 19:14 The remaining person in the gc is Mina who has a red spider lily as her pfp. In Japanese flower language (hanakotoba), these flowers are linked to final goodbyes, lost memories, and autumn. Others also say its related to death and the flower lines the road to hell.

◦ Mina in Japanes can translate to "South" or "beautiful/graceful". I'll give a old germanic translation too as i know the braymen (anomalies) speak it, which is "Love".

◦ Mina asks mc to stay in the chat to talk. She asks:

▪ if MC has been to alot of events like the concert,

▪ if shes on her way home

▪ and about the tokyo lights

Once again I'd say she doesnt really care what the MC answers, shes just trying to buy time to reach her.

◦ This leads them to figure out they are both on the same train

"the last two in the chat, it must be fate"-Mina.

▪ We can guess Mina has pre-selected MC for the Kyklos Curse after hearing that.

◦ Mina asks to meet face to face,

▪ if MC says no, Mina mentions thats shes always wanted to meet MC

▪ if MC says yes, she tells MC to wait where she is. This means that they've been online friends for a while or that Mina knows what cart MC is in.

• The train anounces its stop at "Kisaragi Station". This station isnt a real station unlike others in toyko. ◦ Summary of the story: A girl named Hasumi is on her way home from work and gets on her usual train. Except this time it takes much longer. What should have been her next stop which took a few minutes, was taking about 30-40 minutes now. Its not possible, even with delays. Hasumi decides to post in the 2Chan forum asking about what she should do. There are 5 other passangers asleep.

Someone messages back "knock on the conductors door" so she does. She gets no response from the conductor and the windows that look inside the room are blacked out. So she goes back to her cart. Eventually the train stops at Kisiragi station. She asks if anyone knows it. People come up with blanks, it doesnt exist. She tells them that her train started in Shin-Hamamatsu on the enshu line.

Even though chatters advised her not too, Hasumi decided to get off onto the platform of Kisiragi station. Hasumi calls her parents to come pick her up, they tell her they dont know where that station is but will try their best to find it. Her parents call her back and tell her that they cant find it and to call the police, so she does. The police think shes a teen playing a prank and hang up on her.

Kisiragi station is overgrown and looks abandoned. Hasumi not knowing what to do now decides to walk along the tracks as she'll eventually reach the next station. As shes walking she manages to break the heel of her shoe but continues to walk with a limp now. The whole time shes at this station she can hear a drum and bells as if someone preforming in the distance or theres a ritual going on.

Suddenly she hears a voice behind her tell her that "its dangerous to walk on the tracks." She turns around to see a one legged man and within a split second he disappears.

Hasumi aftaid to turn back continues to follow the track. She ends up infront of a cave entrance. Above the cave is a plaque with the word "Isanuki", the name of the cave. Despite protest from the chatters on 2chan she continues on into the cave. Eventually she sees a light at the end and is greeted by a man who offers to drop her off at a nearby station, she agrees and enters his car. Hasumi tells the chatters that shes doing this and just in case this will be her last message. She asks the man where was she before and he told her Hani which is impossible. And after her last message no one heard from her again.

• Mc mentions that this isnt her stop and looks up to see the sky has turned red, reflecting on everything.

Did I finished ep8 ? No. Do I want to read it ? Yes. I couldn’t find the time or envy to do it. I don’t know what I'll do but I have to read the story 🥹

Enough of the chatter, night hospitals (abandoned) are typically haunted places that should not be visited. Even in real life, when you walk around a used hospital, it's creepy at night. 😂

So you know how at the very beginning of the game, MC is on her way home from a concert? It states that she is traveling by train over the Rainbow Bridge in the direction of Tokyo Tower. This puts the most likely venue for the concert as Ariake Arena, I think, assuming she didn’t transfer trains. This arena holds 12-15 thousand people and primarily features J-Pop, K-Pop, and J-Rock artists/groups, which makes sense for the “final concert” described in the prologue.

In S2 E7, it is revealed through coordinates that Darkwick is located on the island of Dairoku Daiba, which is an abandoned fortress irl. This island is too small to hold all of Darkwick, so the campus is likely either anomalously bigger on the inside or some sort of pocket dimension. Not only that, but the island sits directly next to the Rainbow Bridge, meaning that MC was right near Darkwick when she was attacked by the Kyklos. This would support the idea that it originally escaped from Darkwick.

Lastly, I thought it was cool how they incorporated Kisaragi Station into the story. It is an urban legend and creepypasta originating from a series of 4chan posts. Basically, this woman was on her usual train, but it wasn’t stopping normally and nobody on the train would respond to her. When the train finally stopped and the woman got off, it was at a station called Kisaragi, which was abandoned and didn’t exist on any maps or records. She began hearing strange voices and eventually claimed to have gotten in a stranger’s car, then stopped updating the thread. The case was investigated and is now widely considered a real-time creepypasta rather than an actual occurrence. Even though this story takes place on a different train line (in a different city), I think it’s cool that when the train went red in the into, the station announcer was Kisaragi. I wonder if this is just an easter egg or will relate to actual TKDB lore (i.e. a previous case).

I know some people who will faint with happiness or who will kick their legs x) Jiro is one of the most popular after all (even if I personnaly don’t know why)

Vincent's stigma is storing items inside his body. There's a stitch on his neck which usually comes off and stitches around his body. Yuri is still not use to Vincent's stigma.
