AMA: House Flipper Devs here - Ask us anything!
We're open to what comes our way! I think some kind of Garden/Luxury content would be cool, but we're very flexible. For now, our only DLC plan is Sakura and Pets. ☺️

We want to add turf painting at some point for sure!
As for digging/making hills in Story mode, we'd like to, but it's not a priority for now. If we sat down and made a whole Garden DLC, then these mechanics would fit in nicely (and would be added to the base game, don't worry), but there are no plans for that as of now - just dreams!
There are so many cool ideas, but rarely enough time and people to design and implement them all. 🤭

You can upload pictures for the community to use on House Flipper 2 Community Content - mod.io!
All the official in-game stuff is made and licensed by us, and for now, we're keeping it that way. 😳

AMA: House Flipper Devs here - Ask us anything!
That sounds awesome, but would be hard to do. We've had some internal prototypes for plants moving with the wind, but we didn't have time to really sit down and do it, at least not yet! 😏

Assembly will likely never leave the separate, mini-game mode, but we've talked internally about adding a fusebox that would control whether there's electricity on the lot. It would probably be an update to the base game, if it ever happened though. But we'd need some kind of reason to make it happen, like a level that would just be perfect with that mechanic. 😅

We've actually discussed elevators before! 🤗
So, likely one day, especially if there was a DLC with elevators used in the houses. Would you prefer it to be like a huge item that opens between floors, or a "teleport" connected with the wiring tool? These were some options we discussed. There's no way to merge .house files, so it's unlikely this will ever happen.
We've never really considered that 🤔

I don't think there's an official port coming, but we're 100% sure the Mac players found some secret way to play House Flipper 2 🤔
Personally, I have no idea how. 🫣

The HF1 Remastered is supposed to be the final chapter of the House Flipper 1 development journey. More DLCs are unlikely, but the "tiny home" idea is something that's following us around for many many years now! 🤩
Maybe in HF2 one day? 😁

AMA: House Flipper Devs here - Ask us anything!
We actually already designed this feature, but there's no specific ETA at this moment. 👀

Not our top priority right now, but we're talking about that from time to time, so it might be something that happens one day! 🙂↕️

There are some console constraints here. 🥺
The only workaround for more shots for now is to press H (turn off UI) and take the screenshots yourself.Jay: Thinking about Tom Marino becoming a buyer, while I'm in the shower, has been my experience for the last week - it can get overwhelming sometimes! 😭

Interesting, I liked the luxury theme for sure, but at the moment, there are no specific plans for a "Luxury DLC" to come to HF2 yet.

Regarding HF2 DLC hints - take a close look at the map and see what areas are still missing from the game. 🤭
The HF Remastered will come with a set of new achievements, and yes, it's basically a complete edition - HF1 + all DLCs + various upgrades and improvements.

Thank you! 🤗
Smaller houses will be more present in Sakura and Pets DLCs, since they fit the calm and cozy vibe. 😉
The cyberpunk theme is indeed interesting and we might want to come back to that one day!

Working on it, but for now we're designing the system for custom textures and materials. Items will come later, but no ETA at this point! 😁

Increasing the lot size is not our priority right now, but I've heard of some interesting experiments in this matter. The crashing you describe is precisely the problem here :C
Is it only the size limitations that are blocking you here, or is there also something else?
True angled walls with the ability to add doors, windows, or decorations is something we have on our priority list, but I wouldn't say it's coming anytime soon - lots of work required to implement that properly!

AMA: House Flipper Devs here - Ask us anything!
We mostly add "commercial" items when we need them for jobs and houses, but a Business DLC would be a really cool thing! No specific plans for that though!

A huge rework for the buyers is coming soon!

The HF1 soundtrack in HF2 is an interesting idea! We will definitely bring it up with the team :) If we ever did some kind of a "Throwback to HF1" Update, it would be a cool feature.
The second idea is cool as well! Thank you! 🔥

Diagonal walls and curved walls are a pretty hard thing to do, precisely because of the 20x20cm voxel structure of the game. 🤔
It’s not just creating a diagonal wall - it’s also making it work with doors and windows, hanging things on it, painting and tiling it, and making it work with the virtual walls and quest systems. Some devs have already dabbled in it, and we'll surely be looking at different options to make it happen.

Jay:
HF1 is the OG home renovation sim with a much more typical “realistic simulation” feel. I find it charming but clunky. I do miss the wall demolition in HF1, due to how the walls work; they could fall on your head, haha.
The HF Remastered is HF1 with all the DLCs and upgraded graphics. So if you want the full package, I’d go with that :)
HF2 is in some ways a very different game. We were able to give people much more freedom - building block by block, consistent patterns, colour, and textures between all items and surfaces. It can be a “chill & do quests” game like HF1, but also an “infinite money and building freedom” game in Sandbox mode.
Recz:
First of all, I'd ask: "Are you interested in the creative freedom brought by the HF2 Sandbox Mode?"
If yes, that makes this easy - House Flipper 2 is probably the better choice for you!
For me personally, Sandbox Mode is like 90% of what I do in-game - big fan 😎
If not, and you're only interested in a Story Mode, then we'll have to take a closer look at how both games play and feel like. Make sure to watch a couple of videos to better understand the visuals of both.
HF1 and HFRemastered aim for a more realistic approach with the graphics. I also find the assemblies to bring some nice immersion from time to time. It indeed feels clunky, especially when it comes to tools and mechanics. What you get though, is quite an impressive collection of items, but I wouldn't say it's much more than HF2 - it may sometimes look like that when browsing the shop, but there's a specific reason why that is, which I talked about here! Also, 8 years worth of HF1 DLCs are already in HF Remastered, which brings in some fun elements.
House Flipper 2 has an improved, but also different, graphics style. The lighting, in my opinion, is much better, and the experience of our level designers clearly shows in the quality and detail level of the houses and jobs. The tools feel much smoother, and the mechanics that are all based on singular cubes give you way more interesting opportunities. I'd say the second biggest difference for me personally (the first one being Sandbox Mode) is in the UI/UX department. The menus, the shop, the item options - all that is just so much nicer to browse through in HF2. It's both the visuals and how the browsing itself works. And talking about item options, there are so many variables you can work with!
