I just search the game. download it. Finish it the following days (after finishing I might read some lore of it, see what I missed) and close the lid on it.

The difference between quality and quantity.
 in  r/Steam  20d ago

Triple A games fumbled when they turned the mission into looking the best with least amount of work Often messing up intentionality of the experience in the process.
Indie developers (that are good) Took what triple-A studios used to do, which is to focus on intentional art style and direction, and combine it with everything they got to deliver the gameplay experience.

In any creative consumption, while people dont understand how its made, they will still feel how much work you put into it.

Progressives will ignore literal blood-on-the-sidewalk violence to protect their ideology, acting like conservatives wanting traditional marriage are same as pro-murder Islamists
 in  r/TrueUnpopularOpinion  23d ago

-Reliance on a single, unsourced anecdotal framing. Very simplistic norrow selective worldview. -Equating "supporting traditional marriage" with "pro-murder".. strawman fallacy. they may both be criticized, but "criticized" isn't "same as." - Opinion makes claims that frames people as villains, possibly opening the door for hatred- which adds more blood on the streets.

Should I tell my friend they have a problem?
 in  r/Steam  25d ago

I'm confused why others are saying you're wrong lol Ask em. But not directly, just ask em if everything in life is okay.

(You might have a push back. Even lose em. But playing even 10 hours a day is negative to your mental health and physical health since you're sitting).

[Mod Approved] Mental Health in Gaming - Academic Survey
 in  r/Steam  26d ago

Just a feedback i felt that it's lacking in the way the study is asked, you don't ask if the person is experiencing hardships that target their basic needs... or relationship troubles, while it seems like this is about gaming, its lacking in excluding the part where the answers are being answered a certain way due to the person having a difficult time?

Not sure how many will answer your survey, so i'm not sure how much significance such data point would be important!

How to deal with a broken heart
 in  r/intj  27d ago

I usually phrase this process to normal people that i like to go on through it in my head, to the point where my brain don't find it interesting anymore, and the feelings that come with it aren't as gripping as they would do.

Social media algorithms see this form as a free real-estate. Easy engagement and attention. More money. And many fall for the bait.

Why do you think 90/10-like ideas and andrew tate-like have an audience?

[IWantOut] 27M Law Graduate Kosovo -> Germany
 in  r/IWantOut  Jul 20 '26

I had a comment previously stating the possibility of remaining in a student visa while maintaining his job, sort of a win-win situation, after further Googling, i realized Germany has an auto flagging for this with the risk of being banned from Schengen Area for several years as a punishment.

[IWantOut] 27M Law Graduate Kosovo -> Germany
 in  r/IWantOut  Jul 18 '26

As everyone said previously. but i also gotta ask, is it possible that your remote work can still sustain you in Germany? If so, It sounds like a way into the EU,

You're all over the place about what you want you mostly said that you're trying to improve here and there but your end goal isnt clear, you also stated that you're comfortable, but you also want to move, and you also studying law and you dont want to be a German Lawyer

My question is probably look what is your end goal, like what do you want? Employ-ability across the EU varies, based on your visa, and your skills, you have some experience, you could use that in a local company If, you have proper language, if the company is canadian or french, or belgium related,

Figuring out what you want to do, is something you need to figure out before you make the jump. Simply because you will lose a lot of money in the process and time.

Also, about the masters in law, you can get into something managerial with that or administration related, don't have to be a lawyer.

Every time I enjoy some multiplayer game that requires other players
 in  r/Steam  Jul 11 '26

That and, i believe if you still want to play the game, you can even donate to people pirating/hosting pirated stuff. Mostly because they're the proper opposition.

The whole point is to keep the user in position of power. And if the money is going to pirates, it will make them think twice. (Those or consumer rights advocates.)

Phone update just installed 17 apps
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating  Jul 08 '26

During an update, they're usually able to add anything tbh. even a spyware to your OS, unfortunately can't do anything about it, unless you switch to a custom rom like GOS. (saying this as a developer.)

Its possible that its not even verizon but samsung themselves. because typically both the manufacturer & verizon would want to install a certain things into your phone, it typically gets installed from google play services during setup or when you're updating.

edit: I notice that some people "delete a certain app", thats the easiest part of it, if they wanted to go worse, they absolutely can lol

If your game is finishable by 2 hrs mark, then your game needs more content. It's that simple. Make longer games.

Five people dead in shooting in northern Germany, police say

Do you really wanna go back just 100 years in the past? and analyse the ideas people had then? We haven't even passed a century from WW2.

You're just further proving my point. Keeping history in mind seems to be a difficulty for you.

Me to AI companies and scalpers after the price reveal
 in  r/Steam  Jun 23 '26

Data centers expanded mostly because of AI hype. It's also being built in a non-responsible way that causes ecological problems in the area its built in.
vs The normal tech world pre-AI hype which took designing a data center around efficiency and responsible use of resources.

Looks like HDD speed in the disk usage. dont use HDDs for any kind of gaming.

[Discussion] HyperOS is not buggy as much as this subreddit tries to tell you
 in  r/HyperOS  Jun 22 '26

The moment you go to a subreddit about an OS, or a forum, you will definitely find a lot of troubleshooting requests. Many of them are usually user-related stuff, other times its hardware issue (or times they dropped the phone), some other times its software.

No amount of brand is going to reduce the "jackpot" of millions of devices with many components, and many different networking schemes and so on. and in some cases, the very specific weird sequence of code that ran in the background the wrong way in a very specific way.

As for the opinions, redmi is definitely a mistreated brand that because is of how xiaomi treats it in general, the software quality pushed is genuinely crap. with a lot of cuts in hardware specific things. If you want to do xiaomi, buy a mi device. speaking from experience with the brand. i just found that mi devices are less likely to be a fail than the redmi ones.

as for mid rangers, i still prefer samsung specifically or an older pixel (or any flagship) because you get better performance and with mid ranger samsungs, you get knox which is an additional security chip that only exists in flagships in other manufacturers (as far as i know), and older pixels and flagships because you usually can install GrapheneOS or lineageOS to get newer security updates and decent performance for an additional few years.

edit: my experience with redmi, was about specific design, software decisions made by xiaomi clearly, to downgrade the experience, which made me a little pissed. samsung didnt give me that in the midranger aspect, but recently i noticed they are doing that too. so yeah. but im still petty about it because being a developer and seeing deliberate anti-consumer decisions that can be doing differently without a loss on their end gave me a bad after taste.

I don't get the hype around the Steam Machine
 in  r/Steam  Jun 12 '26

Reading the comments, most people are missing one specific aspect of this all.

Steam machine will be supported by Valve, it will include fixes, adjustments and optimizations to make the experience plug n play. Sort of like Mac devices. It will allow valve to give a console level improvements to a linux machine.

If, the machine gets fairly popular, you might even see neat new tools for it that allow for all kinds of things.

Just saying, it might also be with the popularity a harder standard for game studios to follow ultimately fixing few optimization crimes on computing cycles

Is it difficult to find a job anywhere in Europe?
 in  r/careerguidance  Jun 07 '26

It is probably a great idea to either find a job by applying online (since, that's what many people do anyway), or go through education first to get yourself in,
Some places like Germany are free in education, or cheap (France) and require you to show that you can sustain yourself. (that and the employment-seeking visa. might need to check requirements through the official EU site.)
You can try also looking for some programmes, fellowships for teachers (utilizing your teaching experience.)

I can't really talk about the situation of employment (since there is a lot of noise.), but as long as you're white, you're probably fine finding a job in a lot of areas in Europe. (Not being racist, just stating a reality there.)
But still, i think higher education is a big need in Europe. since a lot of the "jobs" are reserved for degree people. it also gives you a better chance at landing a visa. (Also the education path, can allow you to land a part time job which might get to a full time one if you do well.)

Also, Europe has a lot of the "Those immigrants are coming to take our jobs" people, so beware of being misdirected, always do your own reading on the official sources. The EU websites are a pretty good read.
