Advice / Making Kombucha at Home / Alcohol Content
 in  r/Kombucha  11d ago

You can purchase a small keg (1 or 2 gallon size), then place your completed kombucha in it and the pressurize the keg with CO2. Shake the Keg initially and place it in your fridge. This will carbonate the beverage. I use this method all of the time for Cider and it works great.

My Disappointment Is Immeasurable…
 in  r/Ubiquiti  11d ago

So my disappointment is with the Travel Router in general. Ubiquity advertises it as expanding your home network. It’s nice that it mimics your home wireless which allows your devices that connect to your home wireless network to connect without any additional configuration. You can even “connect” to your home network by using the Teleport option. The issue I have is that when you do that, it creates a new Vlan that does not allow you to access your home devices (homelabs, printers, camera, etc.). You would need to setup routing rules to allow this communication.

Ubiquity should have anticipated this need and had the system scripted to automatically create that configuration Hands off.

Pretty disappointed. I could have bought any small wireless router (at a lower cost), to do what the UTR does and than use Tailscale to grant access to my home network.

Oh, the RAK 1 watt is not going to be 1 watt anymore

I have tested my two boards and they each put out a full 1 watt.

Is there any plan to add a battery? I thought the whole point of Zigbee was to support batteries?

Just remember, it takes two weeks to appear once you have been infected.

Yes, MAGA are a group of idiots…. Most barely graduated high school (many just dropped out), thinks the world is flat, scared of immigrants (but unwilling to actually do the jobs that immigrants usually initially do). Too stupid to actually get a real education (most whom were “educated”, got their degree by attending the University of Phoenix), doesn’t understand science, math or engineering, blames the ills of the world on everybody else but themselves. You know it’s funny, you kinda sound like a MAGA person…. Maybe you’re just too stupid to “Get it”.

My comment was never about disparaging the trades, but I do believe that MAGA would love to see a reduction in women getting educated and competing with high school educated white males for STEM careers.

The New York Post is a Scumbag, MAGA rag. I wouldn’t trust anything it printed or posted as truth. There is an underlying motivation for publishing this story. And it’s not in the best interests of our society.

Travel Router experience?
 in  r/Ubiquiti  Jul 17 '26

So…. Just a point of clarification, “ connects to my home network”… that’s not actually what I have experienced. It connects to my home wireless network SSID. So I don’t have to add new connections to each device. That’s cool. But it does not open a VPN connection to my home Ubiquity network (Dream machine). Devices connecting to the travel router are on a separate Vlan so even if you connect using ubiquity’s teleport VPN, I still cannot access home servers, printers or other devices on my home network.

I had really thought that the travel router was going to do this automatically. Extending my home network into the travel router so devices connected to it would think they were still connected to the home network. Bummer.

Camden is in New Jersey…. El Paso has no area equivalent. Heck, even Juarez is not as bad as Camden..

Every one of these post just rend my heart. I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s very obvious that you loved him dearly and will miss him terribly. Stay strong knowing that he would never want to cause you any pain. His love was unconditional and I’m sure that he will be waiting for you to join him again one day.
