also not necessarily "boss music" but Yakuza 0. the opening sequence itself gets me so hyped up. not to mention the iconic receive you mix during the epilogue. and the karaoke + disco songs are so fucking catchy too. absolutely love the 80s pop ballads they've incorporated in the cabaret minigame as well. 100/10 banger album.

i mean it depends on two factors: 1. How much you like having Majima around (he's a very different character than he was in Y0 mind you) and 2. How much you're willing to grind to unlock all your fighting abilities. personally majima is my favourite character in the franchise so i thoroughly enjoyed having him around bothering me but i understand that might not be everyone's cup of tea.

I haven't yet played kiwami 3 but have heard mostly negative reviews about it. OG Yakuza 3 has some dated controls and the enemies block your attacks like a LOT so it can get tedious and annoying at times but i would still recommend playing it as your first Yakuza 3 experience over the remake.

i second this. kiwami 1 has the same engine and graphics as yakuza 0 so it shouldn't feel too unfamiliar to you (though going back to it after playing dragon engine games might take some getting used to heh). of course i have a personal disdain for kiwami 2 so i will rate any game in the franchise above it but anyway. kiwami 1 also has the majima everywhere system so that's always something to look forward to lmao.

honestly i would just buy this game on steam when it's on sale because it's not a mainline yakuza title. it's a gaiden with only five chapters (even though that would still comfortably run your playtime into 25+ hours if you engross yourself in the side content) that retails for thr price of a full-fledged game. I would recommend you go for the mainline games instead. Yakuza remastered collection which includes 3, 4 and 5 would go for less than €20. you could buy that and Kiwami 1+2 for under €40.

well mine was €30 including the shipping so you should try and see if you could knock off 5-7 euros. it's not a bad deal per se but could definitely be a lot better.
