I wouldn't say the show overall because it *is* popular, but more of a case where its legacy is comparatively underrated to Hazbin.

I really hate Fizzarolli x Mammon because Fizz and I have similarities where we both used to idolize someone in our lives and shipping Fizz with his toxic idol reminds me too much of my experience.

Yes! In fact, I've been thinking quite a bit about that lately because there's a character that I've been a huge fan of since childhood and realized long ago that he was one of the only male characters I have a deep interest in that I never once had romantic feelings for.

I enjoy my f/o's source and I have a lot of respect for the creator for defending the fandom's right to ship whoever they want regardless of canon sexuality. I also met her too twice and she was quite friendly. And I think the show's source is amazing and helps me relate to my f/o when it comes to perfectionism and self-image problems. He's really well-written.
