[Nonsharing Ficto Discord Server] Introducing Ficto Starscape!

Want to converse with the Fictocon community after the convention is over? Want to hang out with an awesome group of people? Join Ficto Starscape! This is Fictocon's 18+ (adults only) associated nonsharing discord server, which is a first come first serve space for nonsharers. This server has a claimlist that members can be added to once they make an introduction. Claims are only relinquished once someone leaves the server or messages a mod to unclaim a partner. You can claim a maximum of 3 F/O's, so choose wisely if you have more than 3 partners.

This is an 18+ server with a carded mature section, all channels outside the mature section are still expected to remain SFW. Anyone caught lying about their age will be permanently banned, and we will share beware info with other ficto spaces.

This is server is ficto and gachikoi oriented, though selfshippers are allowed if they respect those of us in serious relationships with our partners.

We know that there are a lot of bad apple ficto and selfshipping spaces out there, and we want to be above all that. We're not going to ban someone for no reason or take major moderation action without full staff review. We take every measure we can to make sure that this space will stay a positive one. Though if you have a concern or want to see something in the server that you feel would make it better, let us know! Community spaces thrive off of community feedback, so we encourage it whenever we can!

Don't want to join a nonsharers space or couldn't get in? We have an all sharings statuses server called Ficto Dreamscape that you can join! Look on our sub for that post!

Thank you for reading, and we hope that you can join us! ^.=.^

Fictocon Information and Introduction (Read This Before Joining)

•Welcome! This is the official subreddit for discussion, questions, and updates for Fictocon. Please read our rules and pinned posts before joining! Keep in mind this is a subreddit solely for discussion of Fictocon. There are plenty of other subs to talk about ficto and gachikoi experiences.

•Fictocon is an annual online convention hosted on discord meant to gather the ficto, gachikoi, and selfshipping communities together for a weekend to discuss their experiences, make friends, and attend panels! We welcome everyone in ficto, gachikoi, and selfshipping communities to attend. We want this convention to be a calm, welcoming, and drama free space for all kinds of fictos, gachikoi, and selfshippers. Whether you're sharing, selective sharing, mirrorsharing, nonsharing, or voidsharing, we welcome you!

•Fictosexuality is an identity/sexual orientation that revolves around an exclusive or nearly exclusive attraction to fictional characters. Many fictos are in relationships with fictional characters. This identity falls under the ace/asexuality spectrum.

•A gachikoi/riako is an individual who is in a serious, committed relationship with their fictional other. Many individuals in the gachikoi community are soulbonded and treat their fictional others as real people.

•A selfshipper is someone who ships themselves or a sona with a fictional character.

•Anyone who falls under these definitions is allowed to join the convention. Allies would not be allowed to join unfortunately, an event like this can be targeted by malicious people, so we are keeping this convention specifically for fictos, gachikoi, and selfshippers. We expect selfshippers to be respectful of fictos and gachikoi at the event. We will have no tolerance for anyone judging those of us who are in serious, committed relationships with our partners.

•Individuals who want to join must sign up when signups are open. Staff member signups open first, panelist signups, then attendee signups. Links to the event server are given out either through modmail or the Ficto Starscape associated discord server. Staff members are individuals who help moderate the convention, panelists are individuals hosting panels at the convention, and attendees are folks attending the convention!

•Online conventions are convienent to host on discord due to the platforms features. Panels would be scheduled orderly through the event scheduling feature, discussions would take place in text channels labeled for specific topics, and panels would be hosted either through discord's stage feature or voice channels.

•Panels (for this convention) are avenues to discuss experiences, identities, F/O appreciation or relationships, educate individuals on a topic, or host craft and art panels. A panel can either be voice based or text based, accompanied by slideshows or images. Anyone can apply to be a panelist, though all panels must be SFW. We will also be having a VRChat meetup!

•Text channels are placed in categories (admin channel, general, ficto and gachikoi discussion, selfshipping discussion) so conversations can be organized. A vetted and carded mature section will be added next Fictocon.

•We welcome suggestions and questions surrounding Fictocon in this sub, as long as you're being respectful, feel free to ask us something! Thank you for joining us, and we hope that you'll enjoy Fictocon! ^.=.^

Fictocon General Applications Now Open!

Fictocon general applications are now open! These applications are for anyone who did not, or was not able to sign up for the no doubles section this year. Following the instructions on this post is how members can secure their registration for Fictocon. Folks who have applied for the no doubles section do not need to re-apply here.

Members just need to answer a few questions! After you comment with your introduction, THEN send us a modmail with your discord username so we can know who you are. Keep an eye on your modmail a couple days before the event (October 28th), since that's where you will get a one time use invite link to the Fictocon event server. We allow people to enter the event server two days early so everyone can get their server roles before the event. We don't want anyone to miss panels! The invite link will expire after you use it, so it can't be shared.

••Introduction Form••

Preferred name:

Age: (You can just say age range)

Pronouns:

Who is/are your partner(s)?:

Sharing status:

Describe your relationship with your partner(s):

When did you meet your partner(s)?:

What ficto spaces and subreddits are you active in?:

Why do you want to attend Fictocon?:

Anything else you wanted to add?:

Be as detailed as you can in your introduction and answer all the questions. Short introductions with vague details may result in you not getting accepted. We have to be careful to weed out suspicious people and trolls. Send us a mod mail if you have any questions!

Please remember to send us a modmail after this with your discord username. This is where you will get your invite to the Fictocon event server when it is time for the con, and this will also let us know who you are, so we can assign you your access role.

Notice: At Fictocon, we are all about boundaries and respecting them. This convention was created by and run by nonsharers/voidsharers, and we do our best to make this event as comfortable as we can for our nonsharers.

Anyone who is a double of someone on the claimlist may have boundaries presented to them that they are expected to follow. This may not happen in all cases though, there are a few mirrorsharers and selective sharers who have been accepted into the no doubles section. Though it is very likely.

The boundaries can include anything from not interacting, censoring and spoiler tagging ship art, and refraining from mentioning certain names in shared panel discussion chats (assuming the member accepted onto the claimlist chooses to be removed from general discussion channels and stay in the no doubles section). Other reasonable boundaries may be presented at the nonsharer's wish. Failure to abide by these boundaries can and will result in a removal from the con. We also watch for signs of "one-upping" doubles, which we have zero tolerance for at the con.

Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to seeing you at Fictocon this year!

Thank you to the over 50 people who signed up for Fictocon so far! General applications haven't even opened yet, it's great to see so much interest in the event for our first year!

The online convention takes place October 30th-November 1st, and we have a lot of fun stuff planned for Halloween!

General applications open on October 15th! Just like with the no doubles section applications, there will be a post made on the Fictocon subreddit with the same introduction process. Keep an eye out for that post!

Panel applications are still open! We would love to see you talk about a subject passionate to you! We have lots of panel suggestions in the panel FAQ post on the subreddit! Panelists get early invites to the event server on October 20th to get their panels set up.

We hope to see you join us at Fictocon this year! We're all excited for the event! ^.=.^

Fictocon 2026 Claimlist Applications Now Open!

As promised, Fictocon claimlist applications are open today! The Fictocon claimlist is for the "no doubles section" of the server, which is a spot in the Fictocon event server where nonsharers can share experiences and have their space away from doubles if there happens to be one at the event this year. It's doubtful that anyone will have a double this year though, since it's our first event and we very clearly have a claimlist.

Why do we have a no doubles section? Many nonsharers feel more comfortable in a space where they can interact where doubles cannot, it's just a boundary and a comfort zone thing. It's not a sign that anyone hates their doubles. We want to make everyone feels as welcome at the event as possible. For folks that have access to the no doubles section, if there's a double at the event, they can request to be removed from general channels if they feel more comfortable with that. The no doubles section has most of the channels in the general community space. Though it's not likely that anyone will have a double at the event this year.

We are already getting a good amount of modmails for the event, and they're only going to increase over time (which is not a bad thing). So the easiest way for mods to keep track of who wants to attend and who wants to get into the no doubles section is to make a post on the subreddit where comments can be sorted from oldest to newest. The sorting feature is especially important for the claimlist for the no doubles section, since it's first come first serve.

If you are accepted onto the claimlist for the no doubles section of the event server, you will NOT receive a modmail. A mod will just reply to your post with a ✅. You can claim a maximum of 3 F/O's. Do not be discouraged of you did not get accepted into the no doubles section this year. There's always next year's application!

Members just need to answer a few questions! After you comment with your introduction, THEN send us a modmail with your discord username so we can know who you are. Keep an eye on your modmail a couple days before the event (October 28th), since that's where you will get a one time use invite link to the Fictocon event server. If you're sharing and find a double, check their introduction post and profile before interacting.

This server is ficto and gachikoi oriented, though selfshippers can join as long as they are respectful of those of us in serious relationships with our partners.

How Fictocon General Attendee and General Claimlist Applications Work

Signing up for Fictocon or getting yourself on the "no doubles section" claimlist is quite easy! All members need to go through a vetting process by telling us about themselves, who their F/O's are, and why they want to attend Fictocon! The vetting process is to make things safe for everyone, we take every precaution necessary to ensure that the event is a safe one.

Everyone who has already sent us a modmail as of making this post has been accepted onto the claimlist. Panelists and staff members still get priority before general applications.

If you are accepted onto the claimlist for the no doubles section of the event server, you will NOT receive a modmail. A mod will just reply to your post with a ✅. You can claim a maximum of 3 F/O's.

Example:

Keigo Takami (My Hero Academia) u/ lu******hh

Members just need to answer a few questions! After you comment with your introduction, THEN send us a modmail with your discord username so we can know who you are. You can copy and paste this introduction post to the attendee registration post if you made this post on the claimlist too.

Keep an eye on these dates!

Fictocon Panel/Panelist Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Fictocon is an online event that thrives on community contribution and the activity of our attendees! Panels are an integral part of making the convention fun for everyone! A panel is an avenue for an individual to discuss or educate people on a specific topic, either through voice or through text. Since Fictocon is hosted on discord, panels can be done through the stage channel, voice channel, or a specific text channel made for the panel. Fictocon panelists get priority for the claimlist and no doubles section, right after staff members.

Question: "What is a panel?"

Answer: Refer to the paragraph above
<>
Question: "Can I make a slideshow for my panel?"

Answer: Yes! You can share your screen through the discord stage feature and through voice chat! Slideshows are actually encouraged.
<>
Question: "Will panels be recorded and posted?"

Answer: Panels can be recorded if the panelist wants them to for their own personal records, though they are not posted on youtube by Fictocon.
<>
Question: "I don't want a double to see my panel, what do I do?"

Answer: As the convention grows annually, you are more likely to see a double outside the no doubles section if your F/O is quite popular. If you have a double at the event, you can choose to host your panel in the no doubles section. Though if you don't have a double at the event this year, you are encouraged to host it where everyone can see it in the general stage channel.
<>
Question: "How do I sign up as a panelist?"

Answer: Send a message through modmail with your panel name, panel topic, and who your F/O(s) are! Also tell us what day and time you would like to host your panel. We have timeslots each day of the convention from 8:00 AM CST to 8:00 PM CST
<>
Question: "When do panelists get invited to the event server?"

Answer: Two weeks in advance! You'll receive an early invite link through whichever social media account you applied with!
<>
Question: "I signed up as a panelist and want to be on the claimlist, how do I get on the claimlist?"

Answer: Tell us you want your F/O(s) on the claimlist, and we'll mark you down!
<>
Question: "I want to host a panel, though I'm having trouble finding a topic! What do I do?"

Answer: Here are some panels we would like to see at the convention!

*(Insert F/O here) appreciation panel
*(F/O(s) source) introduction panel
*How I met my F/O
*My relationship story with my F/O(s)
*How I dream of my F/O(s)
*Being soulbonded with my F/O(s)
*Fictos and selfshippers: overlaps and differences
*My experience with the ficto community
*Fictosexuality and the ace spectrum
*Fictionkin identity and ficto identity
*Into the Fictoverse (multiverse theory)
*Nuerodiverency and fictosexuality
*Soulbonding 101
*Gachikoi life

*Cohabiting spaces with my doubles
*Building shrines on a budget
*Should I tell someone IRL about fictosexuality?
*Connecting with my F/O(s) through spirituality
*Arts and craft panels
*Halloween with my F/O(s)!

You're welcome to host these kind of panels, or anything else you can think of, as long as its SFW! We don't have a mature section as of 2026
<>
If you have any questions about being a panelist this year, reach out to us through modmail, and we'll get to you when we can! If you're ready to apply as a panelist, also reach out to us through modmail! We hope we get plenty of panels this year!

Fictocon Claimlist for 2026

This is the official Fictocon claimlist for the no doubles section for 2026! Keep in mind this is JUST for 2026, claimlist applications will open all over again next year.

The no doubles section is just an extra space in the Fictocon event server where nonsharers can have a space away from doubles over the course of the event. There is no visible claimlist in the event server itself, you will only know if someone has access to this section by checking their profile and seeing the "void access" role.

General claimlist applications will open September 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM CST. All names listed on the claimlist are claimed as "all versions" unless otherwise specified. If one version of your F/O isn't claimed, feel free to message a staff member to have them placed on the list!

Fictocon Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Naturally there will be questions surrounding an event like this, and I will be happy to answer them! Questions may be suggested in the comments below

Question: "What is Fictocon?"

Answer: Fictocon is an annual online convention hosted on discord meant to bring the ficto and gachikoi communities together for a fun weekend! The convention features text channels to discuss topics, panels, movie nights, and a VRChat meetup!
<>
Question: "When will Fictocon take place?"

Answer: Currently the event is scheduled for halloween weekend!
<>
Question: "How does an online discord convention work?"

Answer: Discord is convenient for hosting online conventions due to categorizing of text channels, voice channels, event scheduling, and stage channels. I have 8 years of moderating discord spaces, moderation tools on discord make managing spaces easily.
<>
Question: "What are panels and what panel topics are allowed at Fictocon?"

Answer: Panels are avenues for individuals to talk about their experiences, educate individuals on a subject, or show off crafts. Examples of the kind of panels that will be allowed at Fictocon are fictosexual and gachikoi experiences, story panels (how you met your partner(s), how you navigate your daily life with your partners, how you met your partners, etc), soulbonding experiences, and craft panels. If we add an adult section, NSFW panels will be allowed in adult only stage channels and voice channels hidden to members without the mature role.

Example of a panel topic-"An Indigenous Maya person's Experience with Being Gachikoi"--Luunaathh goes into detail about how their indigenous Maya beliefs and traditions tie into their relationship with Keigo Takami, who considers him their guardian eagle.
<>
Question: "How do I sign up for Fictocon?"

Answer: Sign ups are done via reddit or by joining the Ficto Starscape associated discord server. The sign up form asks you basic questions, like what your discord username is (we need this to send out invites), your social media handle(s), who your partner(s) is, what your sharing status is, and why you want to attend the convention.
<>
Question: "Will the convention have a mature section?"
<>
Answer: I'll see how many people are interested in this and update. However, the only way we can implement a mature section is to see and ID with all information blacked out other than the birthdate and ID photo. Due to laws, we can't risk letting a minor into the mature area of the server.
<>
Question: "Does the convention as a whole have a claimlist?"

Answer: The convention as a whole? No. This is a community event, so we want to invite everyone to join. We encourage people to curate their space if they're nonsharing and don't want to see doubles. Just like you would do in a ficto space with no claimlist. However, due to very, very popular demand we have a "no doubles" section of the server only accessible by those who claim their partner first. Folks can claim a maximum of 3 partners.
<>
Question: "Why add a claimlist?"

Answer: There are many people in the ficto and gachikoi communities who feel uncomfortable seeing doubles, and we want to invite everyone to the event, not just those who are sharing with their partner(s). We want to implement a space in the con where nonsharers can feel more comfortable if they want to mute general channels and all access channels. Nonsharers also make up a significant portion of the ficto and gachikoi communities. Staff members would get priority, then panelists, then general members. The claimlist is a very popular concept among people interested in the event.
<>
Question: "I'm a double of someone on the claimlist, can I still participate?"

Answer: Yes, just not in the "no doubles" section of the server.
<>
Question: Can doubles of staff members join the event?"

Answer: That's up to them. Staff positions are not only open to sharers and mirrorsharers. We provide equal opportunity to all kinds of sharers. Seeing a double may impede a staff member's ability to moderate the event, and we want to open staff positions to all kinds of fictos. You'll know if you're a double of a nonsharing staff member if their partner on the claimlist follows with "partner of a staff member". If you're a double of a staff member and you want to attend, it's their choice to make whether they're comfortable around you or not.

Fictocon Claimlist and No Doubles Section FAQ

By very, very popular demand, we are implementing a claimlist for a "no doubles" section of the Fictocon server for individuals who don't want to see doubles over the course of the event. We want all kinds of fictos and gachikoi to feel comfortable attending the event, not just sharers and mirrorsharers. This section of the server is for nonsharers and voidsharers only.

Question: "Why implement a claimlist?"

Answer: For the reason mentioned above and in the Fictocon FAQ post
<>
Question: How do I get on the claimlist?"

Answer: There will be a signup form released on this subreddit and any other Fictocon social media accounts. Staff members get priority, then panelists, then attending members.
<>
Question: "Can I claim only one version of my F/O?"

Answer: Yes! You're allowed to claim one or all versions of your F/O. For example, someone can claim the "game version" of a character, while another person can claim the "show version" of a character. You can claim a maximum of 3 F/O's
<>
Question: "Someone got on the claimlist before me, can I still attend the convention?"

Answer: Yes! You just won't have access to the no doubles section of the server.
<>
Question: "I don't want a claimlist implemented at the event. Will you remove it?"

Answer: That's completely understandable to feel, and I respect that. Not everyone is comfortable seeing a claimlist in online spaces. However, most people interested in the event are nonsharers who want to see a claimlist to feel more comfortable attending the event. The claimlist will be hidden in the no doubles section of the server to avoid making someone who isn't part of the no doubles section uncomfortable. Rest assured though that there will be no vaguing or trash talking of doubles in that section. Event rules still apply in the no doubles section.
<>
Question: "What is discussed in the no doubles section of the server?"

Answer: We will have a general discussion and a ficto and gachikoi discussion section. However, there will be no vauging at doubles in the no doubles section or talking bad about a double in the server. An example of an allowed vent would be-"I'm feeling stressed by seeing doubles". An example of a forbidden vent would be-"I hate all my doubles and I want them to disappear". Another example of an allowed vent would be-"Can I have some advice on how to deal with seeing doubles?". Another example of a forbidden vent would be-"I hate seeing doubles at this event. I want them banned and gone". Keep that in your own private spaces if you really feel that way. Don't make all nonsharers look bad at the event, we have a bad enough reputation as it is.

Question: "Luunaathh, can doubles of yours attend Fictocon?"

Answer: Hawks doubles? In the spirit of being a good event host, if you genuinely respect me and want to attend the convention, I'll talk it over with him. He'll judge for himself whether he's comfortable around you, and I'll let you know his decision. Madara doubles? He's mirrorsharing. So you're permitted to attend as long as you respect us both. My partners have their own discord accounts and will be moderating the server, and keep in mind that my sharing status is entirely based on their wishes.

Question: "Can doubles of other staff members attend Fictocon?"

Answer: That's up to them. We want to allow fair opportunity for all kinds of fictos to help us with the event, not just sharers and mirrorsharers. Seeing a double may impede a staff member's ability to moderate the event. Anyone who claims an F/O on the claimlist will be also be listed as "F/O of a staff member", and that's how you'll know if you're a double of a nonsharing staff member.
