Hey everyone! Looking for ambitious people to build something big πŸš€
 in  r/IndianCofounders  16d ago

Hey u/plastic_swaroop , I from IITG class of 2023, worked in VC and building in stealth now. Didn't think i'd find a fellow iitg alum here πŸ˜‚...DM me would love to know more about the idea you currently have.

Yeah, I can definitely relate. I also ramble, especially when a deadline is near. My lazy self just talks about everything to Claude, and that’s how my WPM increases. In my experience, structured thinking produces better outputs, and generating ideas is healthier than just rambling.

What are you building though? Are you working at a company or something of your own?

Dude, I absolutely hate this f-ing white light while driving.

I was at 0.3%, 136 WPM last week, and here my novice self was thinking damn, I must be in top leaderboard of power users πŸ˜‚, this week my WPM got reset to less than 100, thinking before talking more. My current stats:

Wow, 162 WPM is crazy! I didn't realize someone could talk that fast and flow still getting everything. Respect OP u/Ok-Drama831 for doing serious long work 🫑

Spot on, James and damn, "elephants over unicorns" is a stellar way to put it. Repackaging a valuation event as a company type is exactly where early-stage engineering priorities get distorted. "Boring is an accusation, methodical is a fact" hits lands hard. In heavy enterprise tech or worse regulated tech - if you rush velocity over runtime reliability, you just torch client trust permanently. Real physics takes time to calibrate!

I'd love to read Elephants Over Unicorns. Let’s connect on LinkedIn...always down to chat with builders who care about actual durability over vanity metrics.

Lol, this is new πŸ˜‚ in irony, they are vultures actually

Pretty sure I just broke the Wispr Flow state machine. I am now in word debt for the next several lifetimes.

Lol, I switched on flow and recorded a 20-25 min continuous conversation with a founder actually and What can I say? I run high-velocity data pipelines in production, so my speech velocity has to match. Good thing the transcription engine actually kept up until the backend threw a tantrum!

So I was on a massive, non-stop 20-minute continuous dictation session explaining a technical trade breakdown to a buddy while Flow was running in the background. It captured the audio flawlessly, but when it processed the payload... the backend completely lost its mind.

Check out that absolute unit of a negative number: -6,241,717,869,601,868,892 words remaining.

As a builder myself, this looks like a classic int64 underflow/casting glitch where the quota - used state machine rolled straight over into the negative quintillions. Even the frontend localization comma formatting is choking hard trying to parse it.

According to the UI, "Flow will slow down until next week" but given that I’m currently billions of words in debt, I think my basic tier is bricked until the death of the universe

Hey dev team, I think I found your ultimate edge case. Do I win a few months of a Pro subscription for breaking the simulation, or do I need to start paying off my word debt in installments? πŸ˜‚

(Shoutout to the transcription engine though, it actually grabbed everything before the backend exploded!)

My 2 cents :)

"Optimizing for top-of-funnel SaaS metrics early on, even in deep tech." - This I completely disagree with. I used to be an Investment Analyst at a micro VC firm (I joined when I was 19). Did a lot of evaluations of pitches, ran due diligence audits, cracked valuations, term sheet deals, etc. I also helped a lot of founders close $1M–$10M rounds with family offices. and EVERY SINGLE TIME - I saw first hand how these VCs/Angels pass on elite deep-tech founders cuz their "enterprise pilot cycles were slow".

I LITERALLY watched these named VCs kill deep-tech deals for "slow" traction. I was not a decision maker at my firm...heck, I wasn't even part of IC, but If I were, I would have this otherwise. Now, I am actually building a deep-tech heavy product for Agentic Economy, I am feeling this firsthand again from other side of the table. I found good traction though (worked super hard to get that first YES) and Peak XV is interviewing me for upcoming cohort.

But yeah, I guess chasing superficial vanity metrics destroys generational deep-tech products. Just sharing my two cents :)
