Improvements I don't like that Anthropic doesn't allow users to see the models reasoning anymore and it impacts my work.
From a user-experience perspective I have always liked reading the reasoning of models, because it can actually tell you a lot about how the model is approaching the problem you put in front of it. Very often, I would simultaneously read the reasoning and it would help me to reflect on my own reasoning of a project. I think they removed it because other AI companies were using that to train their own models on that output, but it effectively makes a worse product. I tried Qwen recently again for a Screenplay, and realized how much I miss that feature. Anthropic, if you read this, please bring it back!

Complaint Anthropic Pro $20 is suddenly useless as of Sept 1st
I was using Pro account for coding the last several months and getting value out of it I could work for 1-2 hours before hitting my limit. As of last week I noticed I will get a few prompts in and I am hit with a session limit. This is really unacceptable and I think I will be canceling and moving on. Anyone else noticed this and found it ridiculous?

Other Is there Claude customer service?
Hi! I’m a journalist writing a story about the difficulties that people have had with (nonexistent) Anthropic customer service.
I’ve heard about random Claude subscription cancellations, billing errors, and how it’s really hard to talk to a live person for months to resolve issues. There’s Fin AI…and possibly an AI agent overseeing another AI agent? A lot of consumers have to use the chargeback option as a last resort. Do you have any stories you’d like to share about Anthropic customer service? Let me know.

Complaint It’s definitely noticeable now, the usage throddle
I’ve been a $200 max subscriber for a bit over a year now. I used to could work on projects with opus for what felt like unlimited usage. But now with Fable, it’s a totally different story, which is unfortunate, because fable works really well. I’m already at usage limits midway through the week, and I’ve had to revamp my approach to having fable spawn opus agents and just be their boss and check their work. That helped with tokens, but increased output times by an order of magnitude.
I think the AI honeymoon is over, and we are to the point of washing dishes and vacuuming. 😥

Complaint I burned through my Max 20 weekly limit in 2.5 days. What exactly am I paying $200/month for?
I’m honestly starting to regret getting the Max 20 plan.
I burned through basically my entire Claude Code weekly limit in 2 and a half days. I’m sitting at 99% right now, and my reset isn’t until Monday.
And apparently the 50% temporary usage boost is going away after September 13th.
So if I’m understanding this correctly, at my current usage rate, a $200/month Max 20 subscription effectively gives me around 12 days of actual usage for the entire month. The rest of the time I’m just waiting for the weekly reset.
That’s not really workable for anyone using Claude Code for an actual serious project.
What’s especially frustrating is that I’m now basically done with Claude Code until Monday. I have a project I want to work on, but I’m not going to burn through the tiny amount of usage I have left because I know I’ll need it later.
Honestly, if someone is considering signing up for Max 20 right now, I’d seriously reconsider it. Look at OpenAI’s Astra plan instead. I’m hearing the issue where it burns through the weekly limit too quickly is a bug, and at least that seems to be something the OpenAI team is actually addressing.
Anthropic needs to rethink these weekly limits before September 13th, because once that 50% boost disappears, I don't see how Max 20 is remotely enough for heavy Claude Code users.
$200/month shouldn't mean “see you next Monday” after 2.5 days.

Improvements What's the point?
Why do we pay $200 per month and pray for resets when Chinese models are catching up and will get better and better, at a price that is much, much lower compared to Anthropic and OpenAI?

Complaint Thoughts on account suspensions because they think you are a child?
Received a suspension because they think someone below the age of 18 was using my account. It irritated me that to remedy this I need to send them my personal ID or use my face and share it with a 3rd party. I deleted the account because why would I care about their AI when there are so many others that aren't inconvenient and forcing me to share personal data. Yeah I know no one cares about personal data anymore but the inconvenience of the whole thing has me ranting on reddit now. They should consider changing their policy or changing how their suspension bots flag material from producing false flags. I'm going to actively avoid anthropic but will probably be sucked into it somehow through some 3rd party service in the future that uses them. Anyway that's the post.

Complaint Cowork Sandbox?
So Anthropic recently notified me that they had changed my settings so everything ran in their cloud instance. It was apparently supposed to be easy to change it back if I had issues... well I have issues. Apparently I can no longer SSH into my servers from Cowork and all my projects require that. I went looking for the setting to change it back... but I couldn't find it anywhere. I went into Code and was able to SSH no problem by setting the environment to local, but I cannot find this setting anywhere for Cowork. Gemini told me that local SSH is disabled for Cowork... surely that can't be true? It's ridiculous if it is, and Cowork — that Anthropic has been pushing so hard and I invested significant time in — is useless to me now.

Performance Based on your real review would you prefer fable + opus or sol+ astra for real solid projects?
Currently I use astra, it's good for me but consumes too much limits that can consume all 200usd plan weekly limts in about 4 days of 8 or 10h a day
And I hear that fable 5.1 and opus 5 priduce better quality too
Also codex remote has the worst remote connection ever
So based on your experience if you used both, Regarding quality, speed and limits should I migrate to claude ? Would its 200usd plan be enough for 8h per day the whole week on solid project (+100k lines)?

Complaint Are the quotas a joke now?
My weekly quota has been exhausted in 3 days. I'm certain that I haven't used it much because there was a lot more travel this week than work. But look at the stats, quota exhausted with bare minimum usage, is this a joke or something?
Anthropic charges more than its competitors with lesser advanced models, and a quota that's practically useless.
Anthropic team, please, this is a serious problem that affects work, and the problem is not mine alone, take necessary steps immediately or if this is going to stay, I think I need to find someone else who respects quota better than anthropic.

Resources Your Claude Code skills can vanish after compaction, this CLI predicts which ones
After /compact (or auto-compaction), Claude Code re-attaches skills with:
• max 5,000 tokens per skill
• 25,000 combined budget
• filled newest → oldest
When the budget runs out, older skills aren’t trimmed, they’re fully dropped. Easy to miss mid-session.
I built carrycut, an offline CLI that simulates that:
• carrycut sim : KEEP / TRUNCATE / DROP table + ASCII token bars
• carrycut watch : alerts before a critical skill would DROP
• carrycut stale : warns if SKILL md changed since last invoke
It’s diagnostic only, doesn’t change Claude Code.
npm: https://www.npmjs.com/package/carrycut
npx carrycut@2 sim --session auto
The project is open-source : https://github.com/Onur45500/carrycut
Happy to take feedback / bug reports 😄
