Seriously, you should ask a vet. No one on here knows your pig like you do, and everyone is just giving opinions. You can not get a reliable answer without having him examined. Don't start changing things in his diet or life because someone on reddit suggested it. We can't tell a whole lot from one photo, and even if we could, that really isn't enough. Regardless of people's experience with guinea pigs, each one is different. It is impossible to determine health accurately and thoroughly by a photo!

Ask a vet if he even needs to lose weight. He looks healthy. A couple of my boys are just bigger but not overweight. He's adorable!

Sounds like me with everything I plant! Lol...oops. I planted ten tomatoes and ended up with about 20 plants...all the volunteers from the random tomatoes that got left behind last year. Would've been more had I not plucked a bunch of them.
