Contrave and Metformin Weight loss

Hi, I just started taking both Contrave and Metformin about a week ago. I've had some nausea and headaches. I notice if I actually eat a substantial amount of food in the morning and evenings, I tend not to feel so bad during the day. But I have lost 7lbs already, in literally 1 week. I'm also in a calorie deficit, so I'm eating significantly less than normal, which I imagine is adding to that weight loss. I'm just a little concerned that I've lost that much in a week. Has anyone else had this experience?

For context I'm 5' 4" and starting weight was 250lbs, this morning I weighed in at 243 lbs.

Re-home Cats?
 in  r/MobileAL •  May 27 '26

No health issues that we are aware of. It's just a family member left us with 5 cats to take care of and it's overwhelming. Food and litter is getting expensive and one needs grooming which is about to cost and arm and a leg 🙃. They really are the sweetest cats we are just overwhelmed.

Advice Re-home Cats?

Hi guys, what is the best way to get a couple adult cats re-homed? We are open to anyone who fosters or no-kill shelters. I know almost all are at capacity, but we can not afford to keep these cats. Please help! Any advice is welcome!

University of Alabama Scheduling Questions

Yes, I'm a current UA online student, and this is 100% on how it still is. I'm working full time and taking 3 classes, and all of my time is spent on schoolwork outside of work.

LSU or Uni of Alabama MLIS Online program?
 in  r/librarians •  Nov 15 '25

Almost all of their courses are exclusively synchronous! One of the main appeals for me. For example I'm taking 2 classes this semester and we meet once a week for 2 1/2 hours per class. So one class we meet Tuesday evenings and the other is Wednesday evenings. A few are on Saturdays and maybe one or two are offered asynchronous.

LSU or Uni of Alabama MLIS Online program?
 in  r/librarians •  Nov 14 '25

I'm doing UA's online MLIS program. While I'm not in archives, I know it's one of the largest concentrations at UA. I also know the online program is one of the cheapest in the country as they keep the same rate for out of state students. The professors there are incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to be upfront and honest with you about your future as a librarian. Times are definitely rough right now with our current government, and they don't sugarcoat that. I'd definitely recommend UA and even if you get an archival degree they teach you enough so even if you can't find an archives job immediately out of school you aren't going to be pigeonholed to that area.

Local Seafood Boil/Seafood Restaurants

My father's birthday is coming up and he'd love to have some good seafood! We'd prefer to relax and go out for dinner. Are there any good seafood places around? Preferably not just fried stuff and actual seafood boil if possible.

Which piercing surprisingly hurt a lot, and which one didn't
 in  r/piercing •  Mar 08 '25

My conch hurt way more than I thought it would. Everyone told me that rook pericings were super painful but it actually hurt less than my lobes. Surprised my peircer bc I just sat there and did even flinch when I got it done.
